I was really impressed with the craftmanship. Even the box was durable and carefully packed to avoid damage in transit. For some reason, I was extra delighted with the fact that it included an actual screwdriver instead of an allan wrench. Fast shipping as well.
Just wanted to reiterate what other reviews have stated:
1. The instructions are confusing, so please don't momentarily question your intelligence.
2. Flip the seat over and peel back the velcro cover to access the panel referenced in step 1.
3. The chair is VERY firm and not the most comfortable, but this might extend it's longevity. A throw pillow might help.
4. The chair seems sturdy and is steady -- no wobble detected.
Overall, I think it's a good deal for the price.
This chair came well packaged and it was kind of hard to figure out the directions but it finally came together and WOW, what a nice chair!! I love the roominess, quality, color and overall comfortableness. This is a nice chair for a den or living room. Nice Mid-Century Modern design, AAA+++.
the chair definitely came with a few dents, but I just could not see myself putting it all back in that box. Also, it came with polystyrene, which is not recyclable. The seat is stiff, not that comfortable.
Make sure you follow directions! If you put this chair together the right way its a really great firm chair. Great for a lap top computer or just an accent chair.
I bought 2 of these chairs for our small home office. They look great and feel very sturdy. They are not very comfortable to sit in but we aren't planning to watch movies in them so for our purpose of extra chairs in the office they work great! Directions for putting them together are not very clear but we were able to figure it out without too much trouble.
For $163 Im quite impressed with these chairs. Packaging arrived via UPS in good shape, not torn up like many furniture reviews mention. Inside the box the furniture had ample packaging and was overall in very good shape. I found just a couple dings but nothing major, the light damage looked to have originated from when it left the factory as the spots where Ive seen any were well padded in the box. Assembly was a bit of a head scratcher thanks to the odd diagrams and broken English, ended up just winging it. With that said, assembly was fairly quick and not difficult, only required a Phillips screwdriver and 3/16 Allen key. The Allen key was included but a Phillips screwdriver is not. Much easier to assemble with a quality driver than their provided Allen key. The end result is solid. The cushions are quite firm but that makes for a more comfortable chair to sit in for a long period, the armrests are a bit low but thats better than too high in my opinion. The cushions are a bit small so dont expect a any support on your upper back or below mid thigh. At least thats as far as they reach on me, 6 and about 180lbs. Width is comfortable as well, not overly narrow, just wide enough for me to cross me legs without them pressing into the armrests. Stitching on the cushions is well done and the fabric was cut properly, no asymmetrical lines or shoddy craftsmanship to ruin the aesthetic. Overall very pleased with this product especially considering its price.
Id give it five stars but it was missing a couple parts in the shipment that required a late night run to the hardware store for wood dowels. Turned out beautiful.

Higher quality than its price point would suggest
