My daughter and i were moving along on putting this piece together until we had to installed the hinges. /
it took about 1.5 hrs to put these hinges on . NOT GOOD FOR A PIECE OF FUNITURE THAT COST OVER 500.00 !!! I believe that the doors will not property closed b/c the placement of where to apply the hinges are incorrect / in my opinion / The hinges should be pre/ installed by the manufacturer on the doors / If I could have stop in that moment this piece of furniture would have been returned / but all is well: it is now put together and it looks great but I had to take a rubber hammer to bang on the hinges a little to get them into place that the doors will closed better/ not properly that the gap in the doors will not be seen I have put together many of pieces of furniture but this was the worst b/c of the hinges / if we did not have to install the hinges / it would have been put together in about 2 hrs. not 4hrs.
I will not say that I will not purchase another large piece of furniture from b/c the delivery was great and the guys took careful steps to deliver w/o any harm to the piece / this is a manufacturing problem. I will say this also. DO NOT buy this piece of furniture if you are an amateur !!! oh, and you will need 2 people to put this together. Please, do not attempt to do it alone / it is a very heavy piece and you may harm yourself b/c it will take two people to lift it to the platform base if you decide to purchase this sideboard which is a beautiful piece I know that you will enjoy it once its put together GOOD LUCK !!! Its a nice design though.
This arrived in a massive box and was pretty heavy and awkward to being inside. However, the instructions were great and it only took me a couple hours to assemble. Once I screwed the backer boards on, the unit was completely sturdy. I love the way it looks in my new office!
4 stars because the price was a little high for something that requires assembly. Everything is nice!
Small and pretty. Definitely two people for assembly. Took about 2 hours. A little disappointed that the color inside the drawers are just paper veneer. I went to tear off a large sticker on the inside of the drawer and it took the paper veneer right off. The paint on the top also scratches easily. We put a blanket on the floor while we were assembling and still ended up with several small scratches on the top of the piece. Fits my small space well and fits quite a few of my nicer dishes. Its being used as a buffet server. Went together easily
Arrived well packed, takes time to assemble so be patient, I had read the reviews and saw that they were saying that the doors had a gap but you just need to adjust the center screw on the hinge, buy a little more wood glue because it just came with a tiny one, but over all it works for what I need it not happy at all
Paint chips easily, it did take 2 hrs with 2 people to put together, shows finger prints easily, the drawers are hard to shut (but that is good to keep little ones out), the doors dont latch in any way(which wont keep little ones out), it is beautiful to look at and we love the design. We wish it was a little taller, but it is a beautiful color. I wish they would have sent a paint touch up kit with it. Its a solid and heavy piece. may be returning
