I bought three of these, yes, three. I read all the reviews, took my time making sure the measurements would work. The first one was super easy to put up, if you have experience building home furniture this will be a piece of cake for you. It took my Husband and BIL about 1 hour to build it, mostly because they kept getting interrupted. One of the boxes came all taped up but none of the parts were missing or damaged. My teens LOVE THEM! They are a great way to combine kids in one room and still have their own space that is strictly their own, no lines in the sand to draw! The desk is great, the shelves are great, it is a great deal for the cost. Here is the reason why it only gets 4 stars. The MOST used part of the bed, the ladder is truly awful. How it even passed just the companys general okay lets go with this, is a shocker. We went to the dollar store and bought pool noodles to put over them and we plan on sewing some cute panels to Velcro around the pool noodles to hide them and just kind of cheer up the ladder a bit. We have the beds on concrete and find we are not having any real issues w/ sturdiness. Its a metal bed so you get the noise that comes w/ it but we didnt find that to be a problem and still dont even w/ two of them in one room. The teens are various sizes, all almost 15 y.o. and they just love being able to have a dedicated space thats their own. They have never complained about the sturdiness of it nor have they ever felt the bed lift or anything to make them feel it is unstable. I will upload pics if I am able at some point to show how the Teens expressed themselves in their little Cubbies. But first, they have to clean their room. Its a good product
The ladder is very painful to step up so it makes it hard to get down in the morning and crawl up when you are tired. My daughter has hurt herself on the railing. several times. It was not what I hoped and so now we are looking for a safer bed . not satisfied with product
The only complaint I have is that the ladder is not available on either side. I drilled thru the metal to get the ladder on the other side. It is ok for the use.
I bought this bed for my 5/year/old daughter and she loves it. Now putting it together was no so easy because It took me too long to get it together. However, the look on her face when she say it was priceless. I would buy this bed again if I Needed to . Best quality product
Not bad for a kid. I expected it to be more sturdy. If you have a gentle child this is fine if you have a hyper rambunctious child I would keep shopping. Easy to assemble though! Everything is nice!
My kid hates it. Its super wobbly and it scares them a bit when getting down. It fits very nicely in their room though and saves a lot of space. Desk and shelves are the best feature of this bed. We bought a 6 inch memory foam mattress and it fit very well. Its a good bed when you are on a budget or even a college student (due to the wobbling). I would honestly recommend a more expensive wooden loft bed. Its super heavy and was a pain in the butt to get upstairs so we will not be returning it but believe me I would if I could. However I still wouldnt recommend you try buying it
I put this bed together by myself which I DO NOT RECOMMEND, seriously, ask for help. But to be honest it wasnt that hard, just heavy. My only complaint with this bed is the ladder sucks on bare feet. My son isnt a huge fan. Im looking into getting something to replace the ladder or cushion it. The bottom half is perfect for homeschoolers or really anyone who loves good shelf space. My son uses his space for books and trinkets. The desk is a huge plus. I highly recommend this bed. Better price available for same designs

Wobbly and not worth it

It was easy to assemble but not as sturdy as I hoped. The climb up bars are hard on the kids feet Considering returning
