Excellent frame. Very sturdy. It had good directions pictures for assembly. It definitely needs at least two people (who get along) for assembly and one needs to have strength for turning the screws. We had 2 missing parts: (1) short one vertical end slat for top bunk, but luckily had an extra (longer) end slat for bottom bed that we could shorten. (2) missing one wooden peg that hold top bunk to bottom; after searching house for a substitute my friend got a stick from the yard and sized it to fit. When youre in the middle of everything spread out in two rooms we did not want to contact the manufacturer. Im very satisfied with the end product.
I bought this furniture after a friend of mine bought the same. She and her husband assembly time was about 3 hours; my friend and I took about 4 hours.
The delivered package is very heavy. The delivered packing was damaged, but luckily none of the parts were damaged.
Im so disappointed in this piece. Opened the box to find pieces were already cracked and cracked even further once we started to tighten the screws. Some of the holes werent aligned, making it extremely difficult to screw the parts together. I wish I had sent it back.
We bought this to use the bottom full as a bed for our son and the top twin as a couch/guest bed. That means, for us, the two pieces are separate.
Pros: Fairly easy to set up. Good instructions. Quality feels sturdy. No scratches or issues with shipment and even arrived a day early!
Cons: If you do choose to have this bed in two separate pieces, there are very visible holes on the head and footboards of the full bed. Of course this is to be expected, but Id think something to plug or cover them would be included since an advertised bonus of this bed is the ability to use them apart. There is also a VERY strong chemical smell to this bed initially. We had just painted (low VOC) and initially thought that was the odor until it occurred to us we hadnt smelled the paint until we put the bed together. Unless this is going to be an unused guest bed, I strongly suggest you allow the bed to un/gas before use. Im concerned that my three year old smelled these fumes all night. I ended up using essential oils in a diffuser to help grab some of the smell. It helped a bit but is still noticeable almost a week later.

Sturdy, and good finish
Got it for my daughter. She loves it. Sturdy, and good finish. It did take a while to install.
Missing piece
I will update once issue has been resolved, but we ordered this as a Christmas gift surprise for our kids and a slat is missing.
