Was a little difficult to assemble. Some directions you had to go back and undo things to continue with the assembly. It is the right size for my 5 year old. Was longer than I expected. Decent for the price
Aming Bed and I would definitely give it 5 stars, If I didnt have to put it together. This was an absolute nightmare. I have never had that much trouble putting anything toether. Luckily I read some of the other reviews first that said not to tighten anything until you are done with the whole section. Had I tightened things first there is a good change I would have never got it together. There was a lot of taking apart and putting back together, and I followed the directions. Other than that we got it 2 months ago , my daughter is 9, and she Loves it. It makes her feel safer for some reason being further off the ground, Underneath is used for storage and where her dolls live because we got the curtains that make it look like a house. I would recommend it as long as you are not easily frustrated by putting something together highly disappointed!!!

My daughter and her friend jump on it (even though I tell her not too) and its still sturdy and not wobbly or loose. My only complaint is the little cubbies. They were a bit hard to put together, the wholes didnt match up when were they needed to be to get the doors to close right. But other than that, its great. Comfortable and high quality!

Its a cute bed thats bigger than I thought itd be. The frame is made of , which is nice and sturdy. But, some problems I ran into were one or two pilot holes being off from where they should have been. They werent off enough that I couldnt get done what needed doing, but they were off enough to be a pain in the butt. Other than that, its a good bed and my kids love it. We also got the princess sheet things for the area underneath so its their princess hideout now. ALL GOOD!
I received my package yesterday and was very disappointed. 1. The bars on two large pieces are bent. 2. The top u shaped edges are almost like warped and it was a real pain to assemble onto the other pieces. I would probably love the bed if not for the reasons I listed. Will probably try to exchange it for another. And by the way, the packaging is large and heavy so be sure to have some help carrying it. Overall you got what you paid for.

Now on to the actual information.
Like other reviewers, we did have parts of the bed which came in the package dented and paint chipped. When we noticed the damage on the initial piece, we began inspecting other pieces in earnest, but only found a single piece damaged. Since we had to clear out my daughters old bed to make room for this one, my daughter was without a bed and the damage wasnt significant enough to cause us concern, so we continued construction.
The instructions come in a small packet that makes the bed assembly look deceptively simple. Do not make mine and my wifes mistake. We encountered multiple issues with the fit of certain elements and, at least once, disassembled a piece we had assembled per the instructions in order to get a piece to fit properly before tightening the screws back down. Assembly took us approximately 4.5 hours.
Make sure you measure your space, as well. We made a decision early on for where her bed would be and, since we had a queen size bed and frame there previously with headboard and footboard, it was our assumption (you know what they say about those) that it would fit. It didnt. The page says the assembled length is a little more than 80 inches, but, in fact, by my measurements, the product dimension of 92.5 may be the accurate dimension.
I would also recommend a good power drill and a comfortable screw/driver with allen bits. The included allen wrench is sufficient, but there is an incredible amount of screwing on the pieces, sometimes in tight spaces (depending on your workspace) and your wrist is likely to get tired. The pre/drilled holes on the stairs also did not match when it came to the hinges, so we had to drill our own.
Once assembled, though, this is a heavy and sturdy piece of furniture. I ascended to lay in the bed. The mattress and I came to more than the maximum load of 200lbs, but I never felt unsafe. I have no doubt that this bed will withstand the slumber parties, fort making, jumping, and imagination play of my children. For that, it deserves 4 stars. I deducted only for the misfits, small damage, and incorrect measurements on the page. Its a fantastic price.
