I didnt give it full stars because how it showed up at my door step. Box one was neatly packed. But a few pieces had dings in them. So I considered that to be the manufacturer. It is easily noticeable. My second box look like it went through hell. It was all hanging out and shoved back in. Scratches and dings on a few more pieces. Im sure the U.P.S. had something to do with it but with it being that heavy the manufacturer needs to secure it in a better box. I spent roughly 4 hours putting it together. As far as how the top bunk sets on the bottom bunks seems a little unsecured. Four cheap wooden dowels keep it in place. Dont move the bunk bed by pushing the top. It may snap the dowels. Dont lift up on the top bunk or it will easily come off the bottom bunk. The ladder doesnt set secured as it should. The holes were off. So when the kids climb it the pressure will be on the bolt. Im sure over time the ladder will loosen and possibly screws come out. Ill take a picture of the gap. All edges of the ladder have the gap. As far as everything else goes it seems to be sturdy enough. But other than that its nice
I cannot even finish assembling the bed because of where the holes for the screws of the ladder is positioned. This is a glaring error on the product that I hope the seller would fix. I had to drill new holes to mount the ladder myself to complete the installation. so you get what you pay for.
Love the bed. It took hours to assemble it was a lot of pieces but, the end result was worth it. I have boys and its very sturdy. I do recommend this bed. SO happy!
With the assistance of my kids it took us about 3 hours to assemble this full over full bunk. I highly recommend using a power drill/driver with an Allen wrench bit; Im sure that saved time and our fingers! The bed is gorgeous, it is as sturdy as it looks. Bottom bunk is fairly tight/cozy, but the kids love it. A bit of effort to get it built, but youll be happy with your purchase. Definitely looks nice.
This bed is really sturdy but I am upset that the max weight is listed at 250 per bunk / which is why I chose this set for my two teenage boys who are almost 6 ft tall/ however the warning on the bunk clearly says do not exceed 165 lbs so now what? however I would not recommend anyone buy this.
My kids love the bunk beds and could not wait to try them out. Overall, assembly instructions were straightforward and easy. Definitely easier with two people and two sets of tools.
We found that the spacing of the slats on the bottom bunk are a bit wide. Will like need to get some extra slats and/or plywood to make it more sturdy for the bottom mattress.
My chief complaint is the experience we had with the seller. The first box arrived on the last day of the promised shipment window. The second box arrived 5 days later (almost a month after our purchase date). Box 2 looked like it had been shipped, opened, re/shipped again. Scratches on the wood, 1/2 split sections that gave us a few splinters during assembly, and a missing step for the ladder. Given my experience communicating with the seller (UnbeatableSale) to even receive the second box, I am not optimistic that they will provide the missing piece.
If you buy this bunk bed, you and your kids will likely love it just make sure that the seller is itself or the company has a better customer service than UnbeatableSale. Very impressed with the quality.
I love this bed. Although it took us some time to put this together as it was only my husband and I, it just looked awesome. I was skeptical about it being sturdy once put together. All my worries were put to rest once we put the top bunk up. The top bunk doesnt move at all when shook. My kids were so excited. Much better than expected
Good quality for the price. Seems very sturdy. Came undamaged with all the pieces and directions. Putting it together was a monumental task. Its like a giant puzzle with a million pieces. You will be building every single part of this, you have to build all the headboards and footboards. There are two different size slats and if you make a mistake you will have to take it apart and start over. I read and reread the directions and triple checked my parts before beginning and I still messed up and had to take my first headboard apart. Once I got one headboard together though the going was much easier. Dont use wood glue, I thought Id do my own thing and use wood glue and it was just super messy. When putting the slats into the headboards you put this piece of styrofoam in first to help the slat stay in place. This made no sense to me and I didnt want to do it. You have to do it. I ended up putting the little styrofoam piece all the way over to one side and pushing the slat into place by squishing it over with the slat. Im not sure if that is how you are supposed to do it as the directions offered no advice on this step. When you get to this step it will make sense. Another sort of mistake I made was using a cordless drill instead of the allen wrench. My husband was out of town so I built this beast on my own. I found a drill bit that worked but wasnt exactly perfect. I ended up drilling a few in too tight and stripping a few that are a bit stuck. We will likely never be able to take this thing apart, nor would I want to. SO much work. This bed is a great budget option and will get the job done but boy do I wish I could have gone to a furniture store and bought a 1,200 bunk bed that came pre made lol. Perfect in every way.

Beautiful, space/saving bunk for growing kids

The weight limit in the description is different from the manufacturers warning label
