I highly recommend this bunk bed.
It is a little complicated to put together, will definitely be easier with 2 people.
But once it is built it works well. It stays in place well. Bottom portion handles 400lbs well.
This was a hard setup to find, full over queen but worth it.
It does wobble a bit when kid climbs to top bunk bed but nothing out of the ordinary. The steps to climb up are on the thinner side but kid hasnt complained.

We got 4 mattresses incase we needed a bunkie board. we dont need a bunkie board, and as you can see from the picture, it can accommodate a thicker mattress. we ended up stacking the two 4 mattresses on the top bunk along with a 1.5 mattress pad, and an 8 mattress also with a mattress pad on the bottom bunk. Its so much bette And my teen sibling on the top bunk still has about 3+ to stop them from rolling off.
The weight capacity has not been fully tested, but so far is able to accommodate a high school teen on the top as well as an adult on the bottom.

only problem with this bed is that there is nothing to stop the bed from rocking when climbing up the latter. Actually should of measure as it almost to high for the room that it was placed it, over all the kids like it
But its for my two girls ages nine and three. And they could not be happier. Took us about two hours to build it but that was with all four of my kids in the room and grabbing things that they shouldnt. You should be able to build it in less than two. My only complaint is that it does wobble ever so slightly when my daughter climbs on and off of the top bunk. We have it in the corner so it bumps up against the wall when shes climbing up and its annoying sound but otherwise very sturdy

Great bed for the price, but it does have some sway to it. Could be fixed with cross bracing if redesigned.
