Really love this desk for my 9 year old girl. Enough space to complete homework and do her sketching. I gave 4 stars only because there was a slight defect in one of the legs that didn't fit into the groove. We had to improvise by removing the caps that came to place at the bottom so that the legs can easily fit into the groove. Other than that it is great.
Very easy to assemble but was missing the tool to tighten bolts and a few other parts referenced in the instructions but not in box. It also had a deep scratch in the desk. Other then these issues I would give it 5 stars, the desk looks exactly like the picture, my granddaughter loves it.
I got the desk for my daughter who is a budding artist. Given the price, I was concerned about low quality materials. But was I wrong. The desk is made of really heavy duty steel and it really sturdy. Even the bolts are heavy duty. The bolts and drilled holes are really precise and make assembling a desk a dream compared to your average unit.
My one complaint is that the desk when assembled does not sit perfectly flat, but rather wobbles. This is not unexpected as it is usually pretty hard to get good alignment on all four points in preassembled furniture. Having built furniture myself, I can attest to its difficulty. However, the alignment is pretty bad on this unit. Nothing that can't be fixed with some strategic use of stick on furniture pads.
Also one bolt was missing, but again this is nothing the cannot be fixed with a quick visit to a hardware store.
