I had a difficult time putting it together due to the majority of the bed boards were wonky and warped. There were numerous pieces where the pre drilled holes were not completed correctly making it impossible to screw in the screws as per instructions. The ladder was a pain in itself and not as sturdy as the t should be for little ones. It was too big. This could have just been a one off because the bed is very cute and my toddlers love it .
First of all I want to say once getting this bed put together, it’s a great bed that is sturdy! Getting it put together was quite hard. The directions were kind of hard to understand and took my husband and I 1.5 days to put it together. The only complaint I have is that the slats were cut too small and the holes didn’t line up properly and so we had to drill new holes at an angle to get it secured.
it's so cute, but I kinda wish I never saw it and just bought something else. I'm not sure it's going to hold up long and it's also worth noting that it can't very easily be taken apart if you need to move it (and won't fit through standard doorways), but I imagine that's probably true of most bunk beds.

All pieces were packaged well and there was no shipping damage. My son loves his new pirate ship bed. It was fairly easy to assemble. The bed is still somewhat wobbly after being put together. Nothing to worry us, but would rather it be completely stable.
It's all made from wood and has that woody smell. I usually don't like things that have strong odors, but this wasn't so bad. It's already been a few weeks since I put it together and I can't smell anything anymore.
Putting it together wasn't that hard and I was able to do it by myself in a few hours. However, I am a fairly handy person. The instructions were really clear so I think that anybody should be able to follow it. And most important, my kids love it.
The bed actually looks better in person than it did in the online pictures. It's easy to assemble and perfect for lower ceilings. The company was really easy to deal with as well. We were missing one piece of hardware and they sent a whole new bag, no questions asked, very quickly!
We were nervous about buying this bed with no reviews, but we are glad we did. My son absolutely loves it and we are happy with it too. Just make sure you leave plenty of time to put it together. The main part of the bed took about two hours to open the boxes, organize the parts, and assemble. Even though the parts were better labeled than the bed, and that really wasn't expected.
This bed is beautiful and very well made. I was hesitant to buy a bed online but every step of the way with this experience was good. The order arrived sooner than expected. It came in two manageable boxes that could be maneuvered up narrow steps. The directions were all in pictures and clear. The engineering is a marvel and my husband and I kept saying how impressed we were with the design and the attention to detail. And the best part was my son's reaction who is sure he now has the best bed in the house.
Great product , but I would strongly advise that you carefully read instructions on the rail for staircase. Good and sturdy material and easy assembly. This bed looks just like the photo. It is very sturdy. It came in 2 boxes to put together we had it set up in one day. My daughter loves her new bed
