It is perfect for next to a chair. There is a drawer that slides out with cup holders that are just perfect! Love this!
This is a very nice piece! Much better than I expected as I thought it might be a bit flimsy considering the price. But it seems pretty solid and $100 less than the exact same piece at my local furniture store here in RI. It arrived early and was so well packed there wasn't a dent or scratch on it. Very pleased with this purchase!

I needed smaller sized nightstands for our bedroom. Yes, they are end tables but can be used for either.
There is a pullout tray on the front top. It has two cup holders and a spot to put my phone. Plus there is a door with two storage areas. The pull outtrsy added the extra room I needed for my medications and water etc at night time.

I ordered 2 of these and both of them came with the door pushed in and hinge screws pushed out and wood split where hinge goes. I had to doctor and fix myself as too much trouble to ship back. Hope they hold up.
We love this for my Mom. She has all her tablets plugged in and there is outlets left open to use. She has her puzzle books and magazines all tucked away neatly in the cabinet so no mess on top. The cup holders are also a great space saver.
