I was skeptical about the bent wood ribs holding up the box spring and mattress but a week into it, its holding up well. It took me about 4-5 hours to put together mostly because of the amount of screws holding it in place and I cut some of the time off using my drill and putting the screws in about 75% of the way and then using the allen wrench to tighten the screws. The absolute worst part was putting the feet on and I ended up propping each corner up using some of the spare wood because holding the bedframe and screwing the feet on was almost impossible with an allen wrench in the corners. When completely assembled it was amazingly sturdy. I would say take your time and make sure you take the time to tighten everything.
I love this bed and the extra storage it provides. I bought the bookshelf headboard to go with it. Just needs a way to attach the headboard if you buy it.
First impression was that this was a good but. It felt sturdy and the lift mechanism appeared sound. Fast forward a couple of month and I started experiencing issues with my Purple mattress. When it was in the up position the mattress would slide down too far and get stuck, making bed not close able.then come today the gas piston on the left gave out. So now bed is kinda busted. I mean its ok but dont expect to use it for longer than a year
Bed was in good condition and easy to put together. My only disappointment was that the bed was lower than I expected and the headboard was too low ( not adjustable). So low that my regular standard pillows cover the entire head board. I feel like I am sleeping in a childe bed. Will not be recommending or ordering beds from any longer. The pictures are nothing like the item received
The bed looks beautiful and the pieces fit together very nicely after being built. The storage is very useful and there is quite a bit of space. Initially we were worried we wouldnt like the short headboard, but it has grown on us (hah) and all in all we love the bed.
We put this together last night. The metal rails are very flimsy and one did not fit correctly. I had to drill another hole to make it fit. Also we got the 4 drawer platform bed and let me say ..these drawers are HUGEEEE!. I should have got two drawers instead. Also the 4 drawers stretch all the way from top to bottom..leaving NO ROOM for adding a nightstand next to it without blocking one of the drawers on each side. I THINK they should reduce the drawer sizes some and add a piece of wood at top area so to allow for nightstands or end tables. The drawers in which I thought they were attached ARE NOT. they just roll on wheels and slide under. Also bought the headboard to match. it does not attach to the bed so FYI on that. The slats that are to be held in place by dowels..did a poor job of holding them. Kept popping off. ssooo I had to screw in a few of the boards. So this bed has a few issues but overall a nice looking bed. These pieces are VERY EASY to put together. only thing missing is stickers of the part numbers on boards. You just gotta look at pic and compare. It created slightly more work on figuring out which was the right one but..the diagrams in book were pretty good. overall simple to assemble but had some small issues i would change on design.
I put this together January 2021 and it not July 2021 and so far Ive had to redo this part twice. The screws keep coming off. Ive tightened it as hard as I can. Even with a memory foam mattress the whole bed moves if your partner moves around. Its a great looking bed but wish I had gotten a sturdier one.
The delivery went smooth. We put together the bed for my daughters first apartment. She was very happy with it. Loved the leather look and the leather panels that hid the drawers. Added so much storage space. Perfect!
