My kids love this bunk bed and so do we. The only thing holding me back from rating it perfect was due to some lack of labeling. It made installation a little bit more difficult than it had to be.
Note: Having seen a similar bunk bed from Walmart come apart at the posts prompted me to add reinforcement brackets to the posts to prevent such mishap. While unlikely necessary because these beds are aligned with metal rods instead of dowels like the mentioned competitor, it just made me feel that much better.
Decent quality and construction. It was fairly easy despite other reviews stating otherwise. Perhaps the manufacturer wised up. As plenty of other have noted this is for kids only and is a tight fit. Not for adults or children over probably 8 or 9. Perfect for our little 2.5 year old. Color is more blue and shiny in person that the matte blue it appears to be but still looks great.
We love these bunk beds! Sturdy, great quality, look great, easy to assemble, and great price with fast Prime shipping. Looks just like the picture. My boys love their new bunk beds! (Mom and Dad do too!)
Excellent quality! Right now I am only using one bed, instead of using both as bunk beds. Works great as a single bed and much cheaper than what I had originally found.
Worth the money, sturdy, and very dependable. I have it 4 stars because my box didnt have all the pieces label. It took me a little bit of time to figure out which piece needs to go next because of this. So the install took a little bit longer than expected
The bed itself is sturdily built and my kids love it, although it would be good if you had some options for where to put the ladder (you dont). Its a five star bunk bed, but loses one star for some unnecessary difficulty in putting it together. The good news is that it can be assembled without too much trial and error if you know what to do.
Its not actually hard to assemble, and the instructions arent misleading as long as you inspect everything carefully. I thank a reviewer on this site though for keeping me from tearing my hair out by advising me to carefully inspect each part before assembling it to make sure that it EXACTLY matches the diagram in the instructions! The problem is that the manufacturer opted to save a few cents worth of stickers (or a couple dollars worth of affixing labor) by putting ID stickers ONLY on the bare minimum number of parts. For example there are pieces labeled in the instructions B1 (quantity one), B2 (quantity two) and B3 (quantity one). Instead of putting stickers on all four pieces, they only put a label on B3. Logically from that, you can infer which ones are which / but it took me an extra 5/10 minutes of assembly time to inspect them carefully and make sure I was certain which ones were which. Other parts that dont have close differences (e.g. theres two of a certain part, but theyre the same and they are distinct from other parts) simply dont have labels at all. (They dont put labels on the screws, nuts, etc. either / so again you will need to inspect those closely to make sure you know which is which.)
So long story short / take extra time to identify every single part and screw/nut/bolt to make sure it matches the instructions, and you will be fine. And youll get a great product at the end of your efforts. But the manufacturer could easily make this a five star purchase with some slight changes that would make it 100 easier to assemble!
I was a little bit skeptical about what I was getting for the price, but after looking through the reviews decided I would order it. The assembly took me about 2 hours to do by myself. Rather than build each bed separately I put the pegs in and attached the top bunk headboards to the bottom bed and built from there. It was much easier since I was alone and limited on space. The instructions could be better but arent terrible. The bed looks aming and is very sturdy. You cant beat it for the money. Great buy!!!
First the good: this is a nice looking bunk bed for the money // I think it looks as good as bunk beds that cost twice as much or more. But I agree with others on the challenges with assembly. The set we got had only about half the pieces labelled and some of the bolt holes werent cleanly drilled so I needed to clear them out. And many of the screw holes werent drilled at all. Having to drill holes and figure out unlabeled parts, Id say we spent 4+ hours assembling thisIm embarrassed to say maybe more. Assuming it holds up, it will all be worth it but I do hope feedback like this encourages to tighten up quality control at the factory making and packing these.
