Slats holding up the mattress are not strong enough and do not live up to their 200 pound claim. This one snapped with 140 pounds of pressure. If you want a bed your kids can fall through from the top bunk to the bed below with a single jump then this is the bed for you. Takes 2.5 hours to assemble, and the only compensation being offered for this is a refund for the return of the bed. Not good enough. I will make a damage claim for negligence and misrepresentation that will include 5 hours of labor.

Material is fine for such a price. (220 plus tax). We set up as two twin beds. It took us almost 5 hours to install the two beds ( maybe we are not handymen). The beds look nice; however, the biggest problem is the twin mattress doesnt fit the bed The beds are smallerI went back to check other peoples comments. It seems some people have the same problem, so I think the manufacturer should adjust the size of the bed so that all twin mattress can fit.
Very sturdy bunks with 13 inches of space underneath which is great for storageI see reviews that say some of the wood has been broken, so to that I say dont over tighten your screws and bolts and you should be fine. A few blemishes to the wood minus a star, but has nothing to do with the the structural integrity of the bunks.

Perfect
Very sturdy and perfect for my needs. Not using as bunk, so assembly was easy. Using it in guest room not sure how much weight it can withstand.
