Great quality. Not many reviews so took a risk, not disappointed at all. Really well designed and built sturdy. The trundle is great. High end finishes, looks better then the furniture brands that cost 2x more. One good note is that the trundle mattress can be a 8 inches. Anything more than that and it wont close. For the top we used a 6 inch and it is perfect, I wouldnt recommend anything thicker than 6 inches for the top mattress.
Solid wood, no press board , nice. Finish is light and simple. Bed is sturdy! Pay attention when you assemble ( dont pour a glass of wine till AFTER its done) we managed to gloss over the details that specifically showed how to distinguish lookalike possibilities in how to place the wood pieces . A standard size twin mattress fits on the trundle piece and it looks great ! Arrived as told, in good shape and had all the correct hardware.
This is a beautiful piece and sturdy with the spacers, I also slipped a little glue in there with them so the slats would hold their sturdiness. I havent found anything tht I do not like about this piece yet!
Bed is too short for a standard 75 long twin mattress. The description says the bed is 77 long but the openings for the mattresses is only 74 long. The mattress arrived several days EARLY. It took a few hours to put together, no damaged/missing parts. The mattress opening is 74. The 75 twin mattress fits in the top because it can hang over the platform a bit on each end as the ends are open. On the bottom the opening between the legs is 74 which does not allow for the mattress on a trundle platform slide into the opening. I will have to find a slightly shorter mattress or somehow extend the length of the bed?
The box to the full size bed came very damaged. It was soaking wet, and the whole top of the box was ripped. The bag with the screw was falling out of the box and was ripped open so it was missing 2 important screws. We had to go out and buy them because the bed was surprise to my daughter and we didnt have time to wait for a replacement. We put the trundle together a few days later and one of the holes to put a large screw in was way too small. We realized that the block of wood was actually glued on sideways and the whole we needed was facing the opposite direction. We ended up having to drill our own hole for that. Thankfully, even though the box arrived damaged, there was no damage to the actual bed besides a few dings on the headboard. My daughter loves it and I know shell have this bed for a long time.
I was able to put this together by myself using a stool with books on top th raise things to the proper height (it would have been easier with a second person as recommended) but waiting has never been my strong suit. It looks lovely and I am quite pleased.
The reason I am giving this 2 stars, is purely for the fact that it couldnt have been more frustrating to put together. If you are not strong, or have 2 people to jam the pieces together to hold the side and back rails, or can fill in the blanks with instructions then do NOT buy this product. I also want to add, that the slats need to be self screwed in to the wood, with no pilot holes at all on the rails. Only thing you are given is a spacer block, to space the slats evenly...there are pre-drilled holes, but only on the slats, and not the rails it sits on. This is as far as I got before writing this review. I will update this over the next month or so, after we have had a chance to really get use it. Also, you are given tool like an Allen wrench, but you also need a Phillips head screwdriver...not included or mentioned.
P.S. The one long piece of wood for the back rail, was very curved on one end. I got it to work, but it should not have been that warped.
I am so impressed with this daybed; its everything I wanted and more. The pieces seemed well-made and sturdy. The assembly was well-thought-out and thorough, the directions were very exact and easy to follow, though it did take a bit of time to put it together. Id say I completed it, with a little help from my husband at one point, in under 2 hours.
The results are amazing. I love the look of it! The finish of the wood really looks classy; it looks like I bought it at a nice furniture store. It makes no creaking noises or anything like that. It really feels sturdy; my whole family (XXL husband, average me, and four young kids) can fit comfortably on it when we use it as a couch, though the manual says the weight limit is 225lbs. We risk it everyday and havent had an issue. But its very comfortable as a bed, too. I love the height, too. It would be very easy to add a trundle underneath if you wanted to, or storage boxes.
Its definitely, 100% worth each star.

Amazing - just make sure to have right sized mattresses.
