It was easy enough to put together, I did have a few bent pieces but it wasnt anything that I had trouble fixing with a rubber mallet. This is the third bed Ive had over a four year period and so far it seems to be of a better quality than the others I previously owned. No squeaking yet, little bit of a wobble when I get in or move around to much but I expected that. It seems to handle the weight of a 120 pound me and a 50 pound dog just fine. (The dog doesnt like to sleep on the floor any more than I do) I put 40 pound mattress on top as well.
Absolutely love space it saved! The desk is much bigger and sturdier than anything Ive ever had before, and i love being able to vacuum underneath it without any trouble. Unless you hate wobbling or have a problem with heights I recommend this bed to anyone who is trying to save space.
This bed is very well designed and built strong. It was very easy to assemble and the finished product is outstanding. I am very pleased with the purchase and my son loves his bed and computer work area.
Easy to put together. Sturdy. Just be careful of how high your ceiling is. We knew this going into it but I still laugh every time I hear my 13 year old thump his head. He wouldnt trade it for anything though because he spends most of his time under the bed at the desk, and it has the head room he needs (he is 6 feet tall)
Havent sleep in it yet but it got here super quick and I was able to put it up all by myself which is a feat because Im only 54. I love it, everything you need for set up is included and Im sure put up time drastically decrease when you. Have help but it took me about 4 hours to do especially because I kept having to unscrew things because I had put it the wrong way. I cant wait to sleep in it though.
I bought this from in 2012 and so far I have absolutely loved it. Its perfect for my apt. since its a studio and space is at a minimum and since its full size youre not really missing anything either.
When I first got it I was using a twin mattress with blankets stuffed along the edges so it felt a little unsteady but that was fixed with the correct mattress size. It can still move around a little but its pretty much the same as any other bunk/loft. For reference im 56 and 170 pounds.
The only thing that I would think is a con is that the desk area feels a little narrow. Its totally fine if you use a laptop or want it just for studying/writing but I had to angle my monitor a bit to get to to fit in the space. Its not horrible but I would keep that in mind.
really great fit for the price. I pay 371 for the bed if you have to pay more than 450 I wouldnt get it. It shipped kinda bang up the packaging. But other than that beat bed. Really tall also. One of the easiest beds to put together. I I wouldnt recommend this bed for little kids at all is really for the preteen kids and a teen kids. The desk is really nice and the shevles are too. The only thing I didnt like is how the plastics and the things are kinda flimsythat hold the mattress up Thats the only knock I have about the bed
This is an absolutely amazing piece of furniture! Five stars. More on the loft later. -1 star for the ripoff price from this reseller, which will probably just ship it to you direct from Wal Mart, and pocket the $180 difference.
The exact same loft from the exact same manufacturer can be bought for almost half the price at s. Plus, ordering from s website is painless.
This loft is just amazing though. The packaging alone was a work of engineering art to behold. Assembly was astonishingly easy (and - dare I say - fun) for such a large, complicated-looking piece of furniture. It took me and my kids 1.5 hours from start to finish, and most of that was unpacking. The thing is made of boxed aluminum, so it is very light to work with.
It is very sturdy too. There is a little wobble while ascending the stairs (according to my 200 lbs testing), but that is to be expected. Absolutely zero squeaking so far. The sturdiness is really amazing considering how relatively small and light the shipping package was. (Its not small or light in absolute terms - 150 lbs - but considering what the thing becomes once assembled, it is pretty amazing how relatively small and light the package is. Youll never get another piece of furniture this big, in a package that small and light. Heck, just a small cheap dresser made of particle board, that I bought at the same time, was heavier! In fact, the heaviest part of this by far is the composite particle board desk. Without that, this thing would be positively lightweight.)
But paying $430 is practically throwing your money away. Ive seen these lofts listed on from it seems a dozen different resellers just over a few weeks - the listings come and go. From random resellers, that I swear must be fly-by-night operations that also come and go. Probably rooted out by for scams like this crazy price. If you buy it from these guys, they will probably just order it from and drop ship it directly from to you. And pocket a cool $180 just for filling out an order form on s website. At least, that was my experience when I bought this same thing on a few weeks ago, which was fulfilled by TJS Networks. That business is (or was) a total scam. They sent the wrong loft (shipped from Wal Mart of course), then horribly bungled the return. It cost me a lot of time and aggravation. I finally just ordered the correct loft straight from . Inexpensive and hassle-free.
Bought this for my 19 year old son. He loves the work space and the bed is very comfortable. Easy to assemble, he and his father had it up in about an hour!! Metal frame is sturdy. Great Loft Bed!!
Great product with fairly simple installation.
2 tips to help keep it from being squeaky/noisy:
1. The metal slats bang against the metal rail. I bought a $4 roll of foam weather stripping tape and put it on top of the rail.
2. When you install the grey plastic pieces that lock in the slats, make sure you install them the right way. You can put it one way and the slat can still wiggle which is metal on metal clanging. If you flip it there will be no wiggle/noise.
