This was a gift for my daughter. It was not hard to put together (she said) and she is very pleased with it. She says she had more room than she expected.
The desk is perfect for a small space that you need to place many objects on. This is being used for a gaming desk for my son. He has multiple monitors, a gaming system pc and laptop. He has plenty of room and it does not look all junked up! The desk is sturdy and was easy to assemble. He is tall so he has plenty of leg room now!
Seriously. Follow them exactly, dont try to skip ahead. Take inventory of your pieces as you open the box. Only take the pieces out of the box as you need them. Do these things, and youll have a nice, sturdy, beautiful desk when youre done.
It took two people with two different spectrum disorders about two hours to create this masterpiece, mostly because the ADHD individual kept trying to jump ahead and the Aspie kept trying to reel him back in to following the instructions to the letter. The manufacturer was kind enough to provide two identical sets of directions with the assumption that someone would hog it if they only sent one, which was very thoughtful.
DONT TIGHTEN ANYTHING UNTIL THE INSTRUCTIONS TELL YOU TO. DONT USE THE SILVER SCREWS TO SECURE THE DESKTOP. Thats what the shorter black screws are for, and why some customers show pictures of their broken desktops where the screws went through. Either that, or they somehow missed the huge text in the booklet that cautions against using powertools.
Did I mention you should follow the directions exactly and not assume you know what youre doing?
Its helpful to tear the experience rating card into small strips and fold them to create shims to align the desktop pieces perfectly while the ADHD person takes a bathroom break.
And thats about all you need to know. Good luck.
Broken support bar s8/sb (picture1)
Screws with flakes of metal. M4x12mm(pic2)
Desktop Board (s8/db)wont expect a screw so its loose on a corner. 3 items need replacing.
Overall an ok desktop just need the replacement parts for peace of mind
I really like this desk. Plenty of leg room, beautiful and professional looking. The only fault I had with it was how weak the metal seemed. It was SO easy to dent or bend the metal. Other than that, I love it and Im happy with it.
I work from home now so this desk was my life saver purchase. It was very easy to assemble and there is plenty of leg room. Its a little shorter than expected but not short enough to be a deal breaker plus there are plenty of furniture raisers available to adjust the height if I choose. Plus its gorgeous, I recommend!
Plan to use in childs (middle schooler) bedroom for remote learning. It fit perfectly, is very roomy, and space/efficient. The finish is mustardy with some sparkle. I like how it is airy and doesnt take a lot of visual space. My husband complained that the instructions were a bit confusing (took about 90 minutes to assemble) with minimal assistance from me.
