Pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price

We love the look of Mid-Century Modern design, and felt these cabinets fit in well with our other furniture. After finding them on Overstock, I searched and they offered the same cabinets (under a different name) at a lower price, so I ordered 2 cabinets here. They arrived in about 4-5 days. Packed very well, so nothing was damaged. The shipped boxes are HEAVY, because no part of these cabinets are flimsy, which is good. You just may want/need someone to assist you with bringing the box into the house. I built the first one myself, all except for getting the door on. I think the door part is a 2 person job (one person needs to hold the door in position while the other handles screwing it on). Note on the door, you cant switch which side its on. Just wanted to mentioned because my husband asked me about that while we were putting together the second cabinet. I mean, I guess you *could* change the side if you wanted to drill all new holes on the other side, but the pre-drilled holes for everything are only on the left for the door. For the price (I paid $120 per cabinet, I think the price may be a tad lower now) I was pretty much expecting or China quality, but nope. I was really impressed, while putting it together, by how solid and well made it actually is. All the screw holes are where they should be. No missing parts. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Ive seen this cabinet description mention it being a TV stand. Im not using it in that way, but should mention that it does comes with some additional hardware to secure it to a wall. I didnt do this, but its in there if you might need it. The cabinets do hold a decent amount stuff. If youre on the fence wondering about how sturdy this cabinet might be, it is a solid piece of furniture that looks more expensive than it is. I really love the cabinets and am glad I ordered them. I ordered the Dark Walnut, but I believe it also comes in a gray finish.

Exactly as pictured, fairly easy to assemble, would buy again.

So, I should start this by saying I have a lot of experience assembling bookcases, dressers, etc. from that big Swedish store. Although this box is quite heavy, I was able to drag it into my front door by myself, open it up, and assemble it completely on my own (Im 50 tall and pretty petite). I first took each piece out of the box carefully and examined it for any scratches or marks. I found none. It traveled across the country via FedEx, so bravo to them. Each of the pieces is numbered with a removable sticker, and each screw item is packaged and had a letter sticker. The directions use the letters and numbers to guide you through assembly. Be careful to line up the pieces exactly as they are displayed in the pictures, and you wont have any trouble. We have our TV mounted to the wall, so this media stand is underneath it to hold gaming consoles, some decor, books, etc. Its lovely and adds a great mid-century flare to our living space. For those saying the doors hang unevenly, you can actually loosen and readjust the door screws and play with the hinges a bit to get the proper line up. I did this and Im very pleased with their evenness and the overall look. Takes a few extra minutes, but its worth it in the long run. Im very happy with the purchase! Thank you!

    An Assembly Adventure

I like the overall look of this stand and it was delivered on time. However, assembly was not a fun endeavor. First, there was a couple missing screws. Then, some of the holes werent fully drilled in. Also, both doors arrived a bit damaged. The left door has a nick on the front of it, which can be filled in with a wood pen, but kind of annoying considering I now need to buy an extra supply when I just purchased a brand new media stand. The other door has a scratch down the front of it. They also dont seem to include any directions for attaching the magnets to the doors.

    So happy with this!

I swung for the fences and dropped a little cash on this for my office. I was done TONS of research trying to find one that was affordable and stylish and this was the exact product I wanted. Very sturdy, comes with everything you need to cover the screws and have that finished look.

The TV Stand looks great but the shelves are not wide enough for a receiver.

It is very sturdy and looks great. I thought I had read on here that the shelves were wide enough to hold a standard size receiver. I finally pulled the trigger and bought the TV stand because it looked the sleekest out of all the other options. Assembly was not hard, very straight forward. I would put it on a level of (which is not hard). My main purpose for buying this piece was to be able to slide my receiver in one shelf and my media computer of the same size on the other shelf. Finished building the stand and knew instantly that they were not going to fit. My girlfriend and I still liked the presentation, look, and overall size of the stand though and decided to not fret about it. We will be buying a separate stand for the receiver unless we decide to wall mount our TV.

Very good product for the price. Seems sturdy and was fairly easy to assemble. No issues.

Yes cheap. But it is cheap

This really is not a pod unit. Yay for it being cheap, but the materials are terrible, and looks cheap, imo. Would not recommend.

    Exactly like the picture

Very impressed with this product. No chips or marks, only small thing is you may have to drill some holes in yourself where the manufacturer missed but other than that with two people easy to assemble. Would definitely recommend if youre looking for the mid century style on a budget.
