I was easy to assemble but like others have said, I chose to reenforce the frame by adding a few brackets and screwing down the boards. Ill try to add some pictures I think the brackets and screws cost about $20 all together.
I was a little sceptical from previous reviews, but I have a crafty resourceful fiancee who builds and put together things like a typical engineer. I love my platform bed, it came in tact, 3 different boxes with instructions and very durable to fit my queen size bed. I love it!
Nice looking bed. It takes time to assemble, but what do you expect? Thats why I put a three star. It couldve been a little bit more sturdy, but its doing its job. Storage is good, 6 drawers. Couple of things to mention, when I was putting drawers together, the metal pieces that you put the screw into and use it to tight it, broke couple of times on me. In the package they put enough to assemble the drawers, so if you brake it, you need to contact customer service, and they were nice to ship new ones. Another thing to mention is the railing on the bed, they dont really stay in place, so once you assemble the bed, two people should carefully put mattress on top, without sliding, otherwise, youll have to adjust the railing again.

You get what you pay for. It is particle board which is fine. It is hard to get squared up so the drawers fit perfectly, but once assembled it is great. Very sturdy. If you get the headboard too just beware there will be a gap because they dont fit together perfectly.
If you are on a low budget and need a good bed this is a good solution. It is easy to assemble; but it does take a lot of work. I would suggest using a power screwdriver; like a drill which is what I used. You dont want to use a plain screw driver and screw everything by hand. If you are a working person it will take you a whole weekend to assemble it and you dont want to move it around much after it is already assembled because it will take some work to get it square again. The bedroom where I installed it is 10x12 and it fit perfectly. I used a 4 full futon as mattress and it fit perfectly. It comes in 3 very heavy boxes and I assembled the contents of one box and then moved on to the next box. The instructions were very good and easy to understand. If you can afford the $135 installation fee go for it; because as I said it is a lot of work. Im 72 years old and I managed to assemble it in 2 days. The quality of this product is good and the drawers are easy to slide in and out. Great for storing clothes or bedding; but nothing really heavy.
I think that this is a good product and that the quality is very good. I expect it to last many years.

Nice bed so far no issues, lots of drawer space (they slide open and closed easily) so if you have a small room this is functional and looks nice!
