I really like this bed and am super pleased with the quality at this price. Unfortunately one of the the bed frame legs was missing from my package, so I cannot fully assemble it yet. I have emailed the and Lilly customer support and will update with outcome/final thoughts after that is sorted out
After reading reviews, I was most concerned with what mattress size to get, sturdiness, mattress slats, and the angle of the slide.
We have a 6 inch spring mattress on top (for jumping), and a 5 inch gel/foam on bottom (for sleeping). The first pic shows how a 6 inch mattress fits with the railing on top.
I am 135lbs and climb on it with my 2.5 year old. With the exception of the front rail feeling like you shouldnt pull on it with all your adult weight when you climb the ladder, the rest seems very sturdy! No wobbling or creaking.
I had intended to use both sets of mattress slats for the top bunk after reading reviews (and put the bottom mattress on the floor), but ended up installing the slats on both beds. It seems fine on the spring mattress, but you can feel them through the gel/foam mattress—more slats would alleviate this and be better!
As for the slide, it is on the steeper side (Im not sure I wouldve even taken too much note of this on my own had I not read so many reviews on its steepness), but my 2.5 year old loves it and it hasnt phased or deterred her one bit.
My husband helped hold the rails up during assembly (the only part that definitely needs a second person) but other than that I had it together on my own in two and a half hours.
Product came nicely packaged. It was very easy to assemble, and is a much safer option for younger children as it is lower to the ground than most bunk beds!
Everything went together great, until I got to the ends (grey). The holes didnt line up with the upper and lower pieces. I just marked where the holes should have been on the white boards and made them larger until it lined up. I did not contact the company about it because I was most of the way finished and I wasnt going to pack it up to return it or wait for new parts. With the right tools Im sure it would have only been a few minutes to fix, the Dremel took a while.
Otherwise all the other pieces were great and my 7 year old helped me put together the ladder and the slide. A few pieces were labeled and I loved the color coding on the legs. It was easy to tell everything apart though.
We decided to switch out the ladder slats for rock climbing holds I had on hand. As well as adding a batman decal. The chalk board also works. My son said it was worth 10 million stars.
It also matches his play kitchen, so that is a bonus as Id like everything to match when we are done redecorating.
I can see wood right through the paintchips out of boards, blemishes everywhere. Far from perfect but it seems sturdy. Probably would have returned if I hadnt unboxed it all to be honest but my son likes it.
This bed was super easy to assemble by myself and turned out perfect. I bought this bed specifically due to the weight limit on both top and bottom bunks. My almost 3 year old and I can easily fit on the bottom bunk and once he is big enough for the top in a few years, we will fit up there too.
I was concerned about the ladder vs having stairs since he is so young but he mastered the ladder in a few times of using it with help. I did not screw in the ladder or slide so I could remove them if he was alone in the room. They are sturdy and hold tight. I also did not permanently attach the upper bunk rail on the outside because I didnt know where I wanted the ladder or the slide for sure and its made it so much easier to make the bed. I can take off the slide, ladder, and rail to make both bunks and then put them back on with a little force and they dont go anywhere.
The recommended mattress height for the upper bunk is probably a better size but I had an extra king bed (purple brand) so I cut it in half with my bread knife and it fit. Its a little tall so if my son ever wants to sleep on the upper bunk, Ill probably replace it but for now its more comfortable for me or other adult guests. And there is still rail above the mattress and my son can get up there to use the slide or just hang out.

Great beds
Low to the ground and sturdy. My 4 and 5 year old love it,
missing parts but so pretty!

Great bunk bed for young kids

Cute, but you may need a drill/Dremel

Very sturdy made bed
Very sturdy and well made bunk bed. Not hard to assemble but easier with two people due to the size of the pieces.
We had to put something under the slide to make landing not so hard.
Assembly was good. Its stable and good deal for the price.
Loved it
My husband took about 3 hours to assemble it. Very beautiful and well made. No problems at all... my 3 year old son loves it.
Tons of blemishes.

Steep slide but perfect for my toddler
