This couch is great for a small place, it has great packaging, all you have to do is put on the legs. It is a little firm but I like that because I think it is easier to get up. It was really easy installisitin
Arrived quickly. Colors were just as seen in the photo. Sits lower than I thought it would or lower than I think a couch should, but thats fine. It is not a sink-in, comfy couch. It is good for getting work done, but not really for snuggling up with a loved one to watch a movie marathon. That works for me! It is so good that I just went ahead and ordered the chaise lounge chair that goes with it. I figure I might eventually buy a couch for watching TV and all that. I would just move this couch and chaise up into my bedroom. Solid buy! Would buy again!
*UPDATE* A year later and I still love it. I dont use it frequently, so that might be why. No signs of wear.
Just moved into my apartment needed furntiune this was something cheap a looked pretty its real pretty easy to setup its just that the sofa aint something u want to lay down and gts on its very hard
If I could, I would give 4.5 stars, but I didnt want to give it just 4, so I gave 5. I paid $199.00 with free prime shipping so my review is based on that price point. If I paid the $270 + tax that it is currently priced at, I would have been disappointed.
I wanted an Karlstad which are priced competitively at $399. Problem is, I live in a rural area, the closest is a 3.5 hour drive, and shipping to my region from is $350 for anything. You could buy a spice rack and it would be $350, or you could buy a whole house full of furniture and it is $350. This is very similar in style to the karlstad, cheaper, and free shipping, so I pulled the trigger. It will serve as as a temporary couch until I can get to an or move to a city that has one, then be moved to a guest room/office.
It definitely pulls off the mid-century modern look. Not the most comfortable thing, but impressively comfortable for a $200 futon. I fell asleep on it last night. The cushions offer good support, and the size is great for me at 60. I will add some throw pills to give the couch some depth and to add some comfort. The fabric is nice to the touch and has a nice appearance (I got the grey one). It it has a nice texture. It doesnt scream this is a futon and looks more like a couch, at least when pushed against a wall. It can easily serve as a primary sofa in a small apartment, contrary to what the other reviews say. I have sat on $400 serta couches that are less comfortable. I suspect, though, the serta-type couches will hold up better over time. Assembly was easy to do by myself. Took me less than 45 minutes, though I used a ratchet rather than the tiny wrench that comes with it. It would have taken considerably longer trying to assemble it with the provided tool.
You wont find a better futon for 199 if you are looking for the mid-century modern look, You would be hard pressed to find a real couch with a mid-century modern look for under $500 outside of , so if you are on a budget, or have limited options in your area, I might consider paying the $270 asking price, particularly if it wont get much use.
The middle legs ARE plastic, but mine were brown. Some reviews said theirs were black. They are visible when looking at the couch from most angles, and they do somewhat detract from the look, but that is the nature of futons and should be expected. The legs dont look cheap or painted like some other reviews said. They ARE cheap, and ARE painted/veneered, but they look real and nice, even up close.
Cons:
Cushions are wrinkled, probably due to the fabric not being pulled very tight. Putting it in couch mode makes this worse, as it compresses the cushions at the bottom/back. That said, I think it might be something that is the result of being folded and stuffed in a box and might get better with time and use, and is not bad enough to knock off a star, particularly if you plan on adding some pillows, which will hide the problem.
Overall I am pleased with the purchase. I dont have any photos yet, but it looks exactly as pictured.
I was pleasantly surprised with how big the couch is, considering I knew it was being shipped via Prime. The seat and back are the perfect width so someone short can still touch their feet to the ground but someone tall can fit comfortably. It is firm but bouncy so you dont sink to the springs, and the color is perfect. Very classy looking piece that was very easy to put together. Great value for the price.
Got the chair fairly quickly, was a bit heavy for me to drag Inside. I was able to set it up all on my own, easy instructions! I didnt have an issue with it being damaged nor was the back of it misaligned at all. I dont use it to sleep On but just as a nice couch in my room
Fit perfectly in my space! And its not tiny like some other futons in this price range. It looks like a real couch without the arms! I am simply in love! And its easy assembly! Only thing is it is a bit heavy so make sure you have someone help you when you order it. But other than that, I have no complaints so far.
I was a bit disapoimted with because 1 day after I purchased this the price dropped and they wouldnt do a price adjustmentbut I got over that when it arrived in 2 days, which was almost a week before it was supposed to arrive. After getting past that I can say I put this together easily with the help of one more person to be able to hold the sofa up. It is not the most comfortable but it looks great. Also, the middle support legs are plastics and they are visible.
A nice thing is that the back is also the same material as the rest of the sofa and there are small zippers where the supprt for the futton are hidden and can be pulle dout when needed. I would not use this on a regular basis, it could use a bit more stuffing since it is a little stiff and noticeably hollow. However it does the trick and looks great.

but I love it. Easy to assemble
It took a while to ship, had some drama with the shipping, but I love it. Easy to assemble, steady, not too soft, support my back when I sleep on it
Worth It!

Very easy to put together and much more comfortable than the
Very easy to put together and much more comfortable than the crappy metal one we bought from Walmart a month ago for $100. It also looks very nice!
Watch out for price drops!
