It's a great place to sit to put shoes on. As for storage it's rather narrow so you can fit two pair of regular shoes in each side or 4 pairs of sandals. Not enough space for a full size family. I was very disappointed.
This storage bench fits perfectly in the small entryway to my condo.
It fits 4 pairs of my street shoes and 2 pairs of snow/hiking boots.
Not sure how well it would hold up with a lot of family use but for me its just fine.
