I bought two, one for each of my kids. I did not have the skills to put this together myself. I had to have someone who was good with a drill help me. The beds are sturdy. I do not have them anchored to the wall. I bought pool noodles for the ladder, as the steps were hurting my kids feet. But they are 12 and 15 and LOVE having the desk area under the bed. I hung up a shower curtain around the desk area for added privacy and added cute string lights above the desk. I would recommend these beds.
I spent a long time deciding on the right loft bed for my 7 year old and chose this due to the size (not too high or wide) and the material (sturdier steel vs wood.) Only one day in but couldnt be happier. My son (And his little brother) are so happy. Got a 6/in mattress and added a foam topper and that works fine with the safety rails. Also love that the ladder steps are flat. Took 2 hours to put together. I could have done it alone but was helpful to have my husband at the end once we were connecting things at the end.
My 10 year old daughter has been asking for a loft bed, so that she would have more room in her bedroom. We finally got her one and she couldnt be more excited about it. It was easy to put together, and its sturdy. Shes now in the process of decorating with led lights and curtains to make it a closed area underneath. Its her reading/library area in her room.
The instructions included with this are decent, but abysmal at the same time. There are very tiny details that you will miss in the drawings, and sometimes details will be missing entirely. You can constructvit entirely with whats included in the box, no tools necessary, but expect to be a little confused by the orientation for many different pieces along the way. I had to take a few parts off and rotate them during construction because hoes needed later in the construction were in the wrong place. Overall it wasnt hard to build, it was just time consuming. I guess it would be a fun project for a parent and kid. I personally just watched movies while I slowly put it together. I didnt expect it to take a couple hours and I now know it does because youll be redoing stuff. With better labeling and instructions, I bet someone could put this together in half an hour.
The quality of the frame is pretty good; alignment of items is good and most pieces screwed together with little effort, only a few spots really took a good amount of force to screw together. Also, the bottom bed frame should probably be given some special attention to make sure its properly aligned and squared before dropping your mattress onto it.

Sturdy, but two person job to put together. Would recommend buying.

Best one yet
My daughter loves it
Went together great
Kinda liked the open bottom so we could put a dresser and what not under the bed. Freed up the room a little.
