I love this chair! It is a bit narrow on the hips (but I am pretty curvy) however, I am very comfortable sitting in it. I have a podcast show so I sit for long periods of time. no issues or discomfort in this chair. Assembling it was somewhat easy. We had to match the leg up to the right notch on the metal. We had to pre/fit the legs before screwing them in due to some fitting too loose or too tight but they all fit. You just have to play musical legs a bit. I had an issue when it arrived with a bit of damage but the customer service team was very attentive to me. My husband loved the chair so much he wants to buy his own.
I agree with other reviewers who describe this chair as small. Its not *too* small, but I think its smaller than average. I am 58 and average build and comfortable in it. My husband is 6 feet and average build. Hes just comfortable in it.
The method to put the chair together is very simple. But actually putting it together was a real headache. Pre/drilled holes in the wooden legs were not as precise as they shouldve been to line up with holes in the metal frame. It took a good hour of wrestling to get them all lined up and put together. We were actually near quitting when we gave it one more try on the last leg.
It spins beautifully and it looks great. As long as youre prepared to fight a little bit with the assembly, its a good (smallish) office chair.
One other point: based on our experience, I would suggest not buying this chair if youre in a rush. It arrived a solid two weeks after the initial delivery date we were given.
I use this chair every day for 8 hours. Very comfortable. I have issues with getting a tight lower back. It doesnt happen with this chair. Great support. And, it looks like a piece of furniture.
This chair is smaller than I anticipated, but because I am small myself, it works for me. I have to say though, this chair should take no longer than 15 / 20 minutes to put together, and thats including opening the box and packaging. The holes in the legs and the metal base are supposed to align, but I had to fight to get the legs attached to the base. It took me an hour to put this chair together!! The seat does not have much cushion, so I think that it may become a little uncomfortable after long periods of sitting. The overall support of this chair is sturdy and comfortable though.
This is a pretty chair. The size is perfect as an accent piece. The color is a beautiful dark gray. The seat is a little hard but a cushion will solve that. It took a long time to arrive but not the companys fault/shippers error. I would recommend it.
The style is cute for the price! I love that I can sit criss cross in it (Im 56 female, 127 pounds). Its the perfect size. I sit on it for work at home everyday for 8 hours and after a while my butt starts to hurt, but adding a thin pillow/cushion to it would fix that small issue. I love that it spins 360. The assembly was very easy, it took 5 mins. Also, I love the legs of the chair. Simple and modern.
I picked this chair because it looked stylish, appeared to be good quality, and looked comfortable.
Comfort:
It was not exactly what I was expecting. It looks more plush than it actually is (it is rather firm). That said, Ive had it for almost a week now and have spent a lot of time at my desk, and it has grown on me. Now Im more of the mind that the firmness is good for what I got it for / a desk chair. It is not a chair a person would sink into to watch a movie in the living room, or curl up to read a book. Keep in mind the back is not tall / about 16.5/17, but it does well to support my lower back when I lean against it.
Utility:
I like that it spins, it has me seated a bit higher than my old plastic desk chair, and I think it is more ergonomic that way. The back and sides are rigid with padding, so it has good lumbar support if you lean back against it. The arms are really more of a shape and support for the back I think, since they taper too low for me to rest my arms on them / which I do not mind. I thought that I would potentially regret not getting a chair with wheels, but since I do not need to move around much at my desk, the fact that the chair spins freely really makes that a non issue. In fact, not having wheels saves me from any difficulty with my carpet, buying a wheel pad, etc.
Assembly:
The assembly was simple, and the parts seem well made. Initially I was very impressed with how well made the actual chair portion is. I still am, but I did find a thread already coming out of the stitching near the seat, which has me nervous, but we will see.
Overall:
I am happy with my purchase and would recommend the chair to others.
