Very large. The base, understandably, sticks out so you have to be careful not to trip on it. Took a while to assemble but it is very sturdy and comfortable.
This chair is sturdy and looks good, but as soon as I say in it I regretted the purchase. It sits too straight up in the back and sides and I cant get comfortable sitting and reading. No way I could lean back and nap either.
My daughter loves this. We had looked at a number of other options but glad we decided to go with this one. As far as suspended egg like chairs go, this is a great one.
