This bed frame is super adorable, and perfect for a little one. The only downside is how difficult it was to assemble for how simple the frame is. The pre-drilled holes do not line up, and its very easy to split the wood. So, be careful!
Easy to assemble if youve done any kind of Ikea pictographic instructions before. Just look at where the holes line up and you really dont need to look at the directions. Sturdy and good wood quality, it has all rounded corners and for the price you cant beat it.
The negative. Does NOT fit a twin bed. Look at the picture attached. Theres about 6 at the head/foot and 3-4 on the sides of space between the mattress and the frame. Made more for a twin xl. Unfortunately will not work for my situation (floor bed for my 10 months old son) and I will be returning it as its very unsafe. A twin xl is too big for his room and I dont want to buy another mattress.
Side note, its temping to use a power drill with a hex bit to assemble because the allen wrench they provide doesnt give you any leverage. However it strips the bolts. So dont. Now to disassemble it….
Bought this bed frame and a twin mattress. Once we put the frame together and put the twin inside, we discovered a huge gap between the frame length and the mattress length as well as a gap in width. I bought a discounted mattress for the frame and it was non-returnable, so I was stuck with a frame that was too big for the mattress. Every time I look at it I cringe. Even the bedding didn't help the issue.
It would have helped if correct size was added to this description, I already bought a twin size mattress, which is smaller a size. I think, we will need to get another mattress of Twin XL size and see if that fits.
This was an absolute Nightmare to assemble Is probably 6 too big for a twin mattress And at 1 point there was no holes For my screws to go into and I had to use my drill so that I could open holes for my screws on top of everything else Product was very scoffed up and it looked like the wood had been scratched in many places and touched up with paint I'm so disappointed with this product
What a piece of garbage! The instructions were either A or B and figuring out what that meant was a trip in itself. Then, I found that the holes for the screws were awkward at best. On top of that, there is this weird gap at the top. I followed the instructions perfectly. I was so cognizant of what I was doing because I build furniture like this all of the time. It can be borderline therapeutic. This was a hot mess of frustration and pain. And, in the end, we have a bed that looks screwy. What a waste of money. I would return it in a flash if that made any sense logistically. I urge anyone to take my warning and make their choice wisely. For me, this wasn't it.
I also just realized that I didn't mention how much SMALLER it is than the dimensions suggest. Either I grew 15 while building this, or they GROSSLY misrepresented their product. What a waste of money. should be ASHAMED.

Like the other reviews said, it doesnt fit a regular twin mattress (which is kind of obvious since it shows measurements but I didnt see that before ordering), which is on me. But the assembly is awful. It was easy at first but once you start putting together the frame part for the bottom, the holes arent deep enough. You cant get the screws in all the way and I ended up stripping the holes in the screw where the wrench goes. The instructions are very clear and easy, so I know that I followed the directions. But this is a manufacturer error and they only give you one extra screw, so you cant try again. Useless. Also with the smallest amount of pressure on the wood, you will get dents. Just dont buy it.
I'm currently using this for my 2 year old daughter transitioning out of crib. This bed is pretty sturdy if you screw it in right. This definitely easier as a 2 person job to assemble, but it's still manageable solo. It took me about 2 hours to put together and most of the time was just spent figuring which goes where because the directions are not clear and there's directions for 3 different manufacturing styles. Once you know what goes where it goes smoothly and you don't even need the directions after the screw the base together. Also the bed is bigger than expected. The height is as tall as me at 5'8which is great and the bed requires a twin long or twin xl because I got a regular twin and it was too small.
All in all this is a great fun bed. No dents, no discoloration, no missing parts, and came earlier than expected. Toddler sleeps like a baby.

This bed is not twin but its twin XL. The twin mattress is small for the bed.
