My son loves his new bunk bed. The darker wood color matched our Pottery Barn Larkin Dresser and book shelf perfect. We ordered nest bedding BKB mattresses and they are perfect for this. Very comfortable for our 5 year old.
We purchased these bunk beds for our granddaughters, they were easy to assemble, well made and seems to be sturdy, time will tell with that. Im happy with my purchase. Our granddaughters love the beds so thats what counts.
For the money, this was much better quality than I expected. The wood is pine from New Zealand (pines radiata, which is native to California but grows faster in New Zealand). Assembly takes an hour or so but isn't difficult. Instructions were OK but not great. Drawings only. I've built plenty of furniture from Ikea and this much better quality.
I was excited to put this together for my girls and the first night we had it. I sat on the end and the supporting bottom boards broke, I am only 135 ibs so that should have never happened. The next day my nieces were here and they laid on it and two more of the supporting slats broke. The whole construction is solid wood but would recommend supporting the slats they give you.
Bought this bed for my 3 year old. Put it together by myself in less than an hour and she absolutely loves it. Nice and sturdy. There was a small ding in the bed, and the packaging was a little torn but other than that everything was great.
We put this bed together 4 days ago. Yes, it looks nice, but Im convinced that it will not last very long I have small kids about 50 pounds and 36 pounds but as light as they are when they get on the bed, it seems unsturdy, like it could break easily if they bounced on it or if a bigger person was on it. The wood seems flimsy. It just is not the solid bed I was hoping for, has cheaper ones and I thought by paying a little more Id get better quality, but thats not the case.
It only took around 90 minutes to assemble, and everything went together perfectly! What a gorgeous bed frame for an exceptionally reasonable price! LOVE IT!!!
I really like this bed for use by our kids. I especially like the open space under the bed with no addition feet. Unfortunately within the first week one of the slats cracked with just normal use, no jumping etc... so now I'm left with a compromised support system.
