Just finished building this (full size)pro tip: one of the lower sideboards is special and has holes for the ladder in it. Put that on the ladder side or youll be drilling new holes. I also almost ran in to the problem with the first slat splitting the board that the rest onI didnt have a drill extension to do a pilot hole, but I used a C/clamp to hold it while I screwed it in (by hand) and while I saw minor splitting on one, the other 3 were successful. In mine, the bed s that people have complained about were not laminated pieces but are single long pieces of wood. They were a bit warped and dont feel substantial enough for the long run, so I will be replacing them with either a more solid type of wood or possibly something metal. The ladder entry is also a bit tight for anyone except for really little kids. Ill probably have to expand it in the future.
My son loves it, though, and when you cant do a higher loft bed this isnt a bad choice. The space underneath is indeed pretty tight, but were putting cubbies underneath it with a twin mattress for guests and a reading area. It would also be great for increasing storage space in a room.
I purchased this bed for my granddaughter when she comes over and I need the the underside for storage space! It was easy to assemble and I only needed an extra set of hands for about five minutes other than that its a one person job. I would recommend a power screwdriver or drill to make the job faster. The elapsed time from when I opened the box until I put the mattress on top was about an 1hr and a half or so. Its sturdy and attractive. The only reason it doesnt have 5 stars is because of the smell of the stain/finish on the wood. Its not pleasant but has seemed to air out over the last few weeks. Price vs quality if excellent!
SHE LOVES THIS LOFT BED! Shes 17 and 55 and she has plenty of room on top and under the bed to study and be on her laptop. This made more space in her room. It wasnt too high up neither, no worries of her touching the ceiling.
We love this bed for our daughter! It took about 2 hours for my husband and I to put it together. It is very sturdy and feel comfortable laying in bed for stories at bedtime!
Let me start off by saying this is a great bed. It looks awesome, its sturdy, its undoubtedly safe and most importantly my 4 year old loves it! BUT it did take me and my handy woman of a mother 4 hours to put together in total. I know for a fact I could never have done it without her. The instructions could have been wayyyyyy clearer and you really have to take your time to evaluate each page because it is not labeled as it should be. We took a recommendation from another review to organize the screws before anything and I think that helped a lot. In the end though I would definitely say this is a 5 star bed with 1
star instructions. I would not recommend doing this alone but all in all I am very satisfied w my purchase.
I like this bed, its the perfect height for my 7 year old and its fairly easy to assemble, but Im not sure that its sturdy enough. We all know as moms that crawling up on a bunk bed to put on a sheet isnt fun, but its even worse when the stairs to walk up are very fragile, feels like they could break from slight pressure, and the same could be said for the guard rail on the bed. I know the guard rail is there to keep the child from rolling out of bed, but a young child is naturally going to want to hang from that piece like a jungle gym, thats what kids do. He mostly uses it to pull him self up on the bed from the slide part. I keep telling him to be extremely gentle on it because it has two small pieces of wood on either side holding it on that could snap off with minimal roughhousing. I dont like that about this product especially seeing as they dont have replacement pieces. Its a bit sketchy. When I imagine the old bunk beds I had as a kid, they were tough thick sturdy made and this really does not compare to that. I dont regret buying it, because he loves it, but there are pretty significant design flaws especially if you have very active children.
Our 9 yr old is thrilled with this full size low loft bed! Its sturdy gives her so much extra space in there bedroom!
Only complaint is that it didnt come with instructions in the box. Were pretty mechanically inclined so it was easy, but if we werent experienced/ I think it would have been difficult.
So far it seems sturdy well made

Not bad, but needs reinforcement

Good looking and fun product, but some design flaws that could result in a broken bed

Bunkbed for Grandsons.
I liked that it is not too high off of the ground.
