    Missing boards

I would give 5 stars but we were missing two boards that help support one side of the roof. Not a major issue- we were still able to assemble the roof with out them.

    Pros Cons

PROS: Cute design. Pretty sturdy after assembling. Roomy and strong enough to fit a 6 and 4 year old on top bed, and still have room for someone to sleep on bottom bed. Wood is in a nice color and can go with any design layout. Love the ladder and double fort/windows. CONS: Hard to assemble together. There are just so many pieces involved. My poor husband spent almost 5 hours trying to put this together by himself. Beds are really hard to make every morning. The top bunker is really hard to get into. Putting your child in the bed after they have fallen asleep is also hard and tricky to do. All in all, my sons really like this bed. Its a good product for its price.

    Great value! Very sturdy.

This bed is great! We bought it for our 4 year old, but its sturdy enough that we can easily lay down with her. The metal bar under the slats is great and eliminates the need for the posts under the bed (so makes it easier for more under bed storage) the design also doesnt take up excess room. The one we received was flawless..no chips or scratches on the paint and it was packaged well. Wed definitely buy this bed again.

    Overall very pleased.

This trundle looks fantastic! It shipped quickly and was packaged well. My 14 year old put it together herself in about 40 minutes (she said it wouldve taken less time if she didnt need to use the Allen wrench it came with) We have been using it for nearly a week and it seems quite sturdy. The wheels on the trundle make it easy to put away each morning.

    Great value and quality

This bed is better then I expected prior to reading reviews, and just as most reviews say. The quality is great, solid wood pieces and the color is a rich gray brown so it will pretty much match anything. It comes in a lot of pieces so it feels daunting unpacking the boxes, but each piece is numbered so if you place them in order then itll be easier to find each piece. The only thing we had any trouble with was the roof. Miscommunication on our part overall, but just be careful because there are no guidelines as to where you set each of the four large pieces so just make sure its all lined up with your own preference in mind. It did take one person (with a second helping here and there) about 4 hours total, and a few pieces required a bit of adjusting or force to fit, but overall great bed for price. Just a side note: it is not the easiest to crawl in and out of the bottom bunk as an adult because if you notice there are four poles going across the front. If you are a larger person or might have a hard time crawling through smaller spaces in general then this might be a problem. I went from a pack and play straight to this bunk bed so lots of crawling for me, but its worth it for the great design!

Good enough for a few years

I did some substantial research looking for a bunkbed for my 5 and 7 year old girls. Reasons I purchased this one was the ability to put a regular sized mattress on the top bunk - many bunks suggest using a thinner than average mattress and we had recently purchased some nice, regular sized mattresses and did not want to add two more to this purchase. That said, we have a standard 8ish inch mattress on the top bunk and it is pretty high (i.e. close to the safety rail). My 7 year old is o.k with this, but for a younger child, I would actually say you should get the slimmer mattress for peace of mind. Building the bed was just o.k. - the instructions are not that clear and you def need two people. The frame for the mattress which is ropes and wood does not fit the full length of the bed like the pictures show in the instructions. Im not sure what that is all about, but we didnt feel this would compromise the safety or comfort of the bed (but I think poor directions or a faulty product is at play). Once constructed, the bed is not the most sturdy (wobbles when someone uses the ladder), but thats why this is a good bed for now, not forever. I like knowing that once my girls decide they want their own space, we can separate the beds and not have to go buy new twin frames...a big selling point for me. All in all, a nice looking, average quality bunk that will serve its purpose for a few years and made two little girls very happy.
