UPDATED REVIEW
While still worth the money, this bed did not last when used by a 4 year old. The welds holding the metal bars together did not hold on either bed and for the boys safety, due to very rough metal edging, I had to replace them yet again. I attempted to use the daybed without the back wall since thats where the breaks occured, but the bed was so unsturdy, it wouldnt be safe for a pet to sleep on.
Value: 5/5 because the price was aming
Sturdiness: 2/5
Easy to assemble (and disassemble) 5/5. No problems there.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I purchased 2 of these to go in my boys bedroom after going through multiple wood frame beds in the last 2 years. As a mom with an autistic child, I needed something sturdy that could hold up to his sensory needs. It never dawned on me to get a metal bed until I saw this one. So my review:
Easy to assemble. Took about 45min to assemble the first one via directions, and about half that time to assemble the second. All the holes lined up perfectly and everything was easy to assemble
Sturdy: i gave that area 4 stars because even though I followed the directions, the metal bars are hollow, the bed itself is quite wiggly Thats not the right word but Im going to use it for lack of better word. Its not oh its going to fall apart wiggly, but its a little bit. This bed will last longer than our previous beds have; probably for years.
Value: 5 stars! I grabbed this on sale, it was about 126 before taxes and worth every single penny. If I had to furnish another room for a child, I would without a doubt pay full list price for this.
The bed holds my dog and I perfectly, its actually is a bit wider than my old twin bed and fits my twin mattress just right. Recently bought a foam mattress from Ikea and fit perfect too.
Great solutions for my sons room. He is a growing boy in high school that wanted a day bed that was heavy duty and would work for him. He has had this bed now for a while and loves it.
This is exactly what I was looking for! The paint is nicely done and it is sturdy. The only thing that could have been a little better was the sturdiness when leaning against the back. It did give some when I rested my back against it. A few pillows along the back will help with that though. Another thing I like is that I can store things underneath if need be. Overall a great buy!
This is a nice bed, especially for the price. It took about 1? hours to set up (alone). There were certain parts that that would have been a lot easier with another person there to assist. All in all, the only complaint I have with this bed is that several of the pieces were chipped or dented. Primarily the 4 balls that sit at each post on the bed and 2 of the poles were dented. Its not that noticeable once you add the covers and sheets. Plus, looking at the reviews before I purchased it, kind of prepared me to expect some minor damage.
My daughter is happy with the bed, so thats all that matters!
My kiddo was very pleased with this bed, assembly was simple and straightforward and it seems solid for what it is (although my toddler and I definitely had to have the no more jumping on the bed talk) but it could be better. The ball tops, which were individually wrapped in padding and then all bagged separate from the rest of the assembly still managed to come damaged. All 4 of them have multiple chipped spots where the copper platting is already coming off. Doesnt instill confidence for durability.
Bed is nice but came with a dent, a chip in the paint and a wonky bed knob. There was a note in the box that said they would send replacements (I havent wrote them yet) but replacing the damaged parts will require taking the whole thing apart and building it all over again which is frustrating.

Good frame
The bed looks nice put together but one of the balls that you screwed in at the top was broken so it will not screw in.

My Son LOVES it

Dont lose the Allen wrench!
There are no written directions only pictures. It says 30 minutes to assemble, it took me about four hours. But I got it done!
Perfect big boy bed!

Sturdy lovely daybed.
Very sturdy. A little difficult to assemble. Looks great in room.

Nice, but not great.

Bed is nice but came with with some cosmetic issues
