I have assembled lot of furniture on my ikea student days so I was no stranger assembling this simple furniture. But as I was doing the final steps on the assembly by screwing the top board with the wood screw; the screw somehow did not go any deeper and ended up chewing up the hole. Lucky it was only one screw but that tells me the wood was too weak on that spot. As in the pic, I can still fix it by using some wood glue and a clamp to hold it for some time. Not going to risk drilling a hole to put the screw or using a thicker screw.
Point of the message, it is affordable furniture. Just sometimes you get heads, sometimes tails on the finished product.
I thought the table would be flimsy but it wasnt. Its really easy to assemble except the fact that the top wooden part doesnt have holes for the screws so I sort of hammered them in then screwed them in. Overall, table was perfect for my tv which is the reason I bought it.
Not bad for the price, though I wish the top piece had pre drilled holes instead. It moved a little when I was trying to screw it on so its not totally straight unfortunately.
Since moving recently, I have been building a lot of furniture. I appreciated that this entry table came with all the necessary tools to build it, including one extra for most of the hardware. However, the directions could have been clearer, especially with the beams and having the screws face the back of the table. I had to rebuild this table twice to get the screws to face the back of the table / which was partly my fault / but in order to make changes you have to take the whole thing apart. Overall I am satisfied with the table but I wouldve appreciated more instruction.
If i had anywhere else to put this i would buy another one. super quick and easy to put together. really sturdy and looks sooooooo good. great bang for your buck.
I purchased for a bedroom to put behind a twin bed as a headboard to use as a table for a bedside lamp, charger, space for books, etc. It is perfect in size and dimensions.
