I was super hesitant about this bed before buying it. We are only are using it as a single bed for now. But it was easy to put together looks great in the room and its sturdy.
I liked the ability for it to become two twin beds. I bought them for my grandsons who are 2 4. Im hoping it will last being made of solid wood until their teens.
I bought this bunkbed and it appeared to be of good quality wood up until I started seeing all the damages on the wood itself. There was no way for me to return it because it was such a heavy box.
I spent a lot of time shopping wooden bunk beds on before purchasing this particular one. I was primarily concerned about the composition of the wood and how real it would be. Im happy to say that it is indeed real wood and from what I could tell, not a single bit of it is anything less (particle, MDF, etc.)
It doesnt take that long to put together - just follow the instructions. I would strongly recommend using wood glue on the dowel pins when joining the legs to the head board slats (x4, steps 3 and 4). This will provide added strength to the bunk after it is fully assembled.
And I would definitely recommend getting some more wood for the mattress supports as the gaps between each is much to large in my opinion. I saw other buys mention this as well and it is a good idea for not only added mattress support, but strengthening as well.
Overall very very happy with this product!
The reasons for a 2 star rating: The long assembly required for this bunk makes it feel like you have picked up a full time job. The provided tool is a sick sadistic joke only included to taunt you. You will need a screw gun to finish the assembly and cross tip to drive the screws provided. In addition, the threads in the taps are rough and I had to cross thread the bolts to make them set flush. I will never be able to disassemble this bunk without destroying it. Once my kids grow out of it, I am turning it into a bonfire and having a tall glass of whiskey to drown my disappointment.

So Far, So Good
My fiancee and I purchased these beds for our sons for Christmas. They are fairly sturdy and are made of good quality materials.
Steardy construction
Bed is well made no complaints sturdy no side to side rocking. Would suggest ectra slats as kids do tend to jump around and they will break
Good quallity but arrives damaged
