This is very sturdy and surprisingly easy to adapt from ottoman to twin bed. Lots less hassle than our former inflatable bed - and this one won't be springing any irreparable leaks! We won't be using the 'chair' feature often because of the depth, but it's very functional as an ottoman for comfortable seating and quickly transforms into a sturdy bed. Perfect for use in our office/guest bedroom. Quite pleased with the purchase!
Honestly it's very firm BUT it does the job I wanted it too. Add a lofty mattress pad and and it's totally doable. I even bought a second one. Pushed together, they make a king bed! Separate, they're twin beds for the grandkids. We live in FL, rest of the family in PA. I wasn't willing to give up my exercise room as a second permanent guest room, so these make it easy to fold up the treadmill and unfold the ottomans. Voila! Best of both worlds!
All I had to do was unfold it when it came out of the box and it was ready. It does not slide around on the slick floor like I was afraid it would. It is super easy to reconfigure into bed, chair, ottoman. My mom and dad came to visit and mom slept very well on it in one of our spare rooms. My grandchildren stay overnight and this will be used then also. I keep it set up as a chair. I am quite pleased and surprised at how nice it is. Really worth the money.
Update: Ive had this a while now and its really sturdy and stands up to wear from the kids. I may buy another for the family room because they are so versatile.
A word of advice- if you intend someone to actually sleep on it, even short term, go buy a thick (3inches) cheap twin size memory foam topper. You can roll it up and out it away in the closet when the ottoman is closed. This bed is an inch short of a standard twin size bed, so you can also used twin size bedsheets on it. This IS somewhat a hard surface to sleep on alone, and you CAN feel the borders where it folds when you lay on it. But you, and your guests WILL LOVE IT with a memory foam topper.
With that, its the most useful piece of furniture in my apartment. It puts away SO small, but its extremely functional as a lounge or a regular twin bed.
Also, always make sure the legs are properly open all the way out when its a bed So they dont fold over on themselves .
I needed a bed for my office for overflow visitors, but was looking for another option. When I came across this one and read the reviews I figured I'd give it a try. When the box showed up I thought ugh is this going to be big enough!? Pop it out of the box, comes COMPLETELY assembled and immediately loved it! So easy to use and when I'm not its in the corner out of the way. Highly suggest this item!!!
I really like this product. It will serve the purpose well. I would give this 5 stars but the only thing I dont like is the legs dont lock in place. Other than that its great!
I am blown away by this guy. I was in the market for a comfortable lounge chair that converted into a bed, but I was struggling to find one that would work in an awkward spot in our office. I was also in a time crunch to get it fairly soon. I stumbled across this guy, held my breath, and clicked the order button. I was a little nervous about the price as we couldn't really afford for this to not work out.
Let me tell you: I have never been more excited about a chair in my entire life! It came in a huge, slightly beat up box that was a struggle to get up the stairs. Once we opened it, there's virtually no assembly required. It took a bit of a learning curve to figure out how the angled seat back works (tip: it goes click, click, click the higher it gets. to lower it down, you have to bring it all the way to a 90 degree angle and then it'll release to flat), but once we figured that out, we were good to go. The bed part takes less than 2 minutes to set up: we just slide the chair (which is really not that heavy at all), open it, and unfold the head and feet portions and boom, bed. I saw some other reviews mentioning that the seams in the fabric were uncomfortable to sleep on, so out of precaution, we bought a twin flat sheet and comforter set so our guests would feel comfortable, though I don't think it was necessary as I've dozed off on it multiple times and had no issues.
Notable Details
- can be used as a chair or ottoman
- comes with a fairly comfortable pillow
- fit my lanky 6'2 brother-in-law comfortably
- adjustable angles
- easily moved/not too heavy
If you're in the market, just buy it!! You won't regret it!
Im updating this review because of a misunderstanding. Just one day after I posted it the seller did contact me. Apparently they couldnt see, or didnt receive the pictures I sent them originally (which I also posted here). They were very respectful and accepted responsibility for the problem. Maybe theyre new at this and the product is very heavy, with sharp corners that should require a better package and handling, which they also said was being worked out with the manufacturer.
Well, after all, we reached an agreement, they took responsibility and the product is a good one. As I said in the original review, the mechanical part works perfectly. We have used it a few times and serves well both purposes, the bed and the ottoman. Cant give it the 5 stars because of the fabric issue, but their service made me change my perspective on their responsibility and reliability completely.

Great alternative when there's no room for a sofa bed.

Beautiful chair / guest bed!
Beautiful chair for us and great spare bed for a guest in our tiny mountain cabin.
Love this ottoman.
