Bought 2 for my twins bedroom. They loveeeee the beds and it gives them so much more space to play. They are a simple yet sturdy design. I loveeeee that the ladders feel solid and are at an angle. The safety rails are a great height. There were a couple of dings and scratches (we bought white) but we figured they were going into a bedroom with boys so they wouldnt be prestine for long anyway. I wish there were extra wood slats at the foot and head of the mattress. Sometimes the corner of the mattress gets pushed down where the boys climb up. We are going to the hardware store to have some extra wood cut to better brace the edge of the mattresses. Knocking off 1 star for being chinsy on number of slats, otherwise they are awesome.
My daughter bought this for my granddaughter; my wife and I assembled it this weekend. I was impressed by the solid wood construction (no particle board!), by the sturdy design and high-quality hardware. All hardware was packaged separately and identified by number (referenced in the instructions); no loose parts floating in a cardboard box. No missing parts, although I would have appreciated ONE extra wooden dowel -- broke one when I tried to do a step out of order! The finish is nicely done, and held up under the usual handling of assembly.
BTW, granddaughter (age 11) loveeeeeD it. And finally, a great value for the price.
The loft bed is a good purchase for the $money$! Only had one post that had a couple of dings. Not a problem. Nothing is prefect! My 10 year old daughter loveeeees her bed! It was her early Christmas present that she asked for!
I bought my 12 year old daughter this and she loveeeees it. When it arrived it came about 10 days before it was supposed to. And had a little damage from Shipping which I had expected. I put it together by myself in about an hour and a half Im pretty strong and I am a mechanic by trade, I would recommend to people for assembly found myself needing an extra hand here and there but I managed. Its pretty sturdy it looks good I would recommend it.
Solid frame. While assembling, some liquid thread lock is advised. It will become wobbly over time. This little trick keeps this loft more sturdy. Weve had ours for 2 years and its still going strong. And Ive even slept in it. Im 61 180 lbs and it has no problems supporting dad.
For the most part, we loveeeee this bed. It was relatively easy to put together. I did it mostly by myself and my husband helped hold up some of the pieces while I screwed them together. For one of the steps, we could have really used a third person but our daughter was not old enough to help. It took us a while to complete that step.
The bed itself seems pretty sturdy. I feel pretty safe sleeping in the bed myself. Our daughter loveeeees the bed and cant wait to sleep in it. Shes still a little too young for it so were having her wait. We got this bed mostly to give us more floor space and she doesnt sleep in her toddler bed anyway. So for now, she plays in the bed during the day and is getting use to it.
The one major complaint I have is that the bed came with some cracks (see pictures) on one of the posts and on the side rail of the ladder. Not sure if they got damaged during shipping or was already cracked before they were put into the box and nobody noticed/cared. We are looking into how to fix this issue before it gets worse.
Another minor complaint I have is that the bed slates are a little too far apart for my liking. Im fine if Im just lying down on the bed, but when Im making the bed, I dont feel as safe.
