Pretty good tv stand, but holes in back way too big and conspicuous

I am not particularly handy or strong (or cheerful about DIY assembly), but I managed to put this together over the course of a few non/focused, cranky hours with plenty of breaks. Some pieces are pretty heavy. I am happy with the finished product, except that the holes in the back to allow wires through are SO big. I had planned on leaving the fireplace covered/shelves open during summer, but these holes are so conspicuous that its really unattractive. I will put some large decorative objects in them to cover the holes (for when the cat isnt in there), but I wish the stand came with matching circular plugs to put in the holes if theyre not being used. Thats really my only beef with the stand; otherwise I feel like its great, and great value for the . Edited to add: the seller I got this from (Happy Tao) is FANTASTIC. Extremely responsive. I had to contact them twice / once because I lost all references to my tracking number, and again because I lost the remote control to the fireplace and hoped to buy a replacement. (I dont always lose things, but this time I did twice.) They were SO GREAT. They immediately responded with the tracking number, and when I contacted them later about the remote, they sent a replacement at NO CHARGE. Very appreciated, and I highly recommend them.

    Could not be happier!

This tv stand arrived quickly and was well packagedtook my daughter about 3 hours to put it together on her own but she said it was not too difficult. There screw holes were not correct on the back of the piece and we are determining if we really need to drill holes as it is up against a wall. Other than that, we absolutely love this piece, it is gorgeous, study and a great deal for the money.

    Solidly built, looks great.

Directions are very clear except one small item. The back boards have a notch on the edge. Those go to the outside. Easy to miss on the diagram picture. Took my husband about 4 hrs and he did it from a wheelchair! Beautiful unit. Like it very much.

    As advertised One

One small mistake on assembly instructions but other than that no problem. Really need 2 people to put it together.

    I like it but

I like the tv stand and it was very simple to put together but the top didnt go on all the way so I can see a small gap on the side and Ive tried pushing down on it and it didnt work and also I didnt get a magnet for the right side door

Looks great but really poor quality

This TV stand really looks great but the quality is not so good. Not only that, I was sent two left sliding door which means the handles are in the same position. The only option is to drill new holes, and fill the holes with wood filler. Not happy with this purchase

    Great design

Looks great. Be careful during assembly on the vertical boards, super fragile and easy to break. I broke one but thankfully hid the damage perfectly. Take your time and have another person to hold the boards when building.

Its nice, heavy and nice together, sturdy

This is a great looking piece. It is over 100lbs so be aware when getting it into the house. Once inside I removed the pieces and grouped them. This says two people to assemble and while that would be easier, I only have me. I was able to do it alone. That all said, the instructions are pretty bad. They cant seem to figure out how to label which side of a piece should go upright. So you find yourself double guessing. In the middle, the two small pieces the instructions are backwards. Make sure the rear slot for the bank oars is exposed, flip the two center pieces. Then apparently they got another piece backwards on step 4, the center piece going left to right dead center of lower end, mine when following directions has the unfinished edge out, since its step 4 and I just completed it after two plus hours, there is no way I would trust the hardware to come apart and then reconnect and be strong. So I am stuck with an unfinished edge sticking out. Fortunately I can hide it by putting both doors over the center. Still tho, learn from me. They should put decals on either side so they can say A side up, or arrows even. This side points forward. It sucks because this could be aming looking and now it just isnt. Im not about to disassemble it tho. Maybe I can find something to cover that edge.
