the bed is study however it's been over a week and we can still smell the strong odor from the bed. the bunk bed is for kids, i am not even sure the smell is toxic or not. some reviews mentioned that it may take weeks for the smell to go away. I am trying to use some baking soda on it to see if that works.
This bed is really pretty but if you have a 54 wide full size mattress instead of 54, it wont fit since the mattress tucks into the frame. I had to buy a small platform so the bed would lay flush to the tops of where the mattress lays.
I bought two sets of these bunks. The first set took about 5 hours to put together with the headboard and foot board being the most difficult to assemble. The second set was a breeze once we figured out to lean the headboard up against the wall to keep it steady and to install the slats.
We are mostly pleased with this bed. Its sturdy, the blue is true to the pictures and it went together easily. A few of the pieces did arrive damaged, Im not thrilled to see damaged pieces on my sons brand new bed.
I really like this bed for my 6 year old boy. Its seems to be pretty good quality, and sturdy. I guess time will tell. It arrived in great condition. The only thing I didnt like was that there doesnt seem to be enough slats. The Simmons memory foam mattress that I bought to go with it states that there should be less room between the slats in order to properly support the mattress. Im debating on whether I need to buy a bunkie board to put under the mattress, which will be an extra expense.
Love the bed. My boys are happy. I love the smell it gives off of fresh wood its nice and very clean looking. No complaints however putting it together was a bitch but we got it finally
Despite the fact the bed is particle board, it looks quite nice, was easily assembled and appears sturdy. My only caveat is, many of the places where screws need to be used arent predrilled. Dont assume you can assemble without a drill.

It took 2 people to assemble in 45 min. It looks great and is well made.

i give easy to assemble a 2 because it really wasnt easy and u had to look at the diagram really well in order not to mess up all the pieces.
