    Great mobile file cabinet

I have used this file cabinet for 2 years now. I needed this be able to keep some files and store other stuff needed at my desk, as well as being easily moved around to various locations. It meets both of these needs. It is sturdy and well built. After a few months, I bought a second one. Both are great and continue to function well.

    Not Bad for the Price

While it scratches easily, this file cabinet has met our needs. The ing system doesnt work but I discovered that when it was too late to return it.

    ing the cabinet and storage

Its a file cabinet thats easy to assemble and very maneuverable. The only issue is ing the cabinet. You need to use a little bit of force in order for it to .

    No real assembly required

Good file cabinet. Only assembly is to attach the wheelsrather easy. Dimensions accurate and fits neatly where I planned to put it with 1/2 an inch to spare I know one reviewer had an issue with the keys. The working part of the key is the handle is plastic but seems adequate for the use intended. The key turns the rather easily and I do not expect the plastic tab to be problematic. They give you 2 keys. Very happy with it.

    The Good, Bad, Ugly

THE GOOD: The filing cabinet fits perfectly under my Winsome wood desk. The sheet is thicker than the file cabinets you see at Wally World. There are no drawer pulls to worry about installing or breaking, since the sheet is factory press molded into handles and the width allows for easy front hanging of letter file folders, after the spacer bar is inserted on the right. Also, the drawers slide smoothly on ball bearing glides and fully open to the end stops, which prevent the drawers from falling out onto your toes. The filing cabinet has wheels, so moving the cabinet around your office or bedroom is easy. The 5th wheel at the front works great at preventing tip overs when the drawers are fully extended. Finally, careful strategic packaging with foam, plastic, and hard cardboard allows for shipping, without damage. THE BAD: The factory keys that come with the filing cabinet are terrible!!. The part is loosely encased in a cheap clear plastic that flexes and wobbles around on a hinge, which does not instill confidence in their longevity. I contacted the China manufacturer on e/mail, about getting regular keys, but they will only replace their factory broken keys with the same stupid clear plastic keys. I went to 2 different smiths and the blue and orange box stores, trying to get them to match/replace these plastic factory keys with keys and they could not find an equivalent keyway design. Luckily, I live in a big city and the 3rd smith shop found an equivalent key thats all . Take the plastic factory key to your smith and tell them you want the key duplicated on an Ilco key blank 1674. It will cost about 7 for two keys. You can throw away the cheap China keys after verifying the Ilco keys work on your file cabinet . Another, bad thing is that the wheels are cheap plastic and may break when your moving and rolling them around on asphalt/concrete driveways. Note: There are 2 versions of this filing cabinet: The new black and the classic black. The classic black allows you to hang your letter style hanging folders without a reducer bar, so you can view your files facing you. The new black requires a spacer bar on the the right side, so that your letter style folders can hang facing you, without falling. The new black has the cheaper roller plastic 5th wheel that goes under the front cabinet and costs 5 more, compared to the classic black; which has more of a circular round wheel. Also, the new black model is 2 deeper for more filing space. You have to look at the pics closely to see which one you want, because the size specs are listed the same for both styles of filing cabinet, even though the new black model is larger. THE UGLY: The part of the keys are encased in a thick clear plastic, which makes it hard to put key rings on them and they look ugly on D/ring key holders. Also, the wheels under the cabinet are little and cheap plastic. Luckily, the wheels have not broken on me yet, as other buyers have noted. The price for the filing cabinet is a bit high and you have to factor in an additional 7 (plus your time) to get all replacement keys duplicated, unless you can deal with the cheap China plastic keys. Alternatively, there are other vendors that sell the same exact cabinet for cheaper (under different names), but their cabinets ship from China and you have to pay shipping and foreign transaction fees. Plus you risk having to contact the seller in China and shipping the product back if your cabinet arrives dented. Click helpful if this review helped you out love

    Superb Quality

The packaging was excellent so the 2 units I bought came without a scratch or dent. The cabinet appears to be very good quality. The wheels have s so it does not roll. The bottom drawer has it own small wheel so that when opened, and if heavy, it will not tip the cabinet. I would buy more of these without question if I needed more. A very good product. Larry
