I was a little nervous that ordering 400 bunk beds with a slide I was going to be getting some particle board, impossible to assemble, poor product. Frankly I was okay with this because I figure my now 4 year old wont think these are cool anymore when she is 12 and I didnt want to spend thousands on high end bunk beds. But I was definitely wrong!
I assembled them solo in about 2 and a half hours, all pieces accounted for, nothing damaged, and everything fit easily together. Everything is real wood except for the actual slide portion. It looks awesome and my daughter is thrilled. 400 is a bargain for these. We ordered 6 inch mattresses and they are the perfect height for these bunks.
Side note: This same exact configuration, design product is on Wayfair for about 600, under a different name. The diagrams and measurements are identical, and Im sure its the same product. Buy it here!
This product is worth more than what I paid for it! I highly recommend! My husbands comments : whoever made this. thought about it, designed it to be very sturdy and cared about the people that would be sleeping on it .
My kids love the bunk beds. I like how low they are to reduce the risk of serious injury due to falls from the top bunk. It took a while to assemble and definitely requires at least 2 people and a couple of hours. The bed is made of good quality materials. The I instructions werent too hard to follow. The only thing I dont like is that the ladder isnt fixed to the floor. It just kind of moves freely other than 2 screws to hold it to the top bunk. Otherwise, its perfect for my little ones.
I did a lot of research on bunk beds. I needed one for my family vacation house and wasnt looking to spend an arm and a leg on something that is sporadically used. We have ceiling fans in every bedroom and small nieces and nephews that visit. This was a hidden gem. For the price, this was perfect. I was looking for something not specifically for kids, because it should be able to be used as an extra bed when needed. Each level holds 400lbs (with the mattress). After putting together my husband and i tried them out and they seemed really sturdy. He is 64 and 300 lbs.
The set up took about 3 hours. You DEFINITELY need at least 2 people. I would recommend 3 if you have it. There are a lot of parts.
straightforward directions. Perfect for toddlers. Warm look. Though when its up against a wall you need to roll up a blanket to place between the mattress and the wall on bottom bunk so your toddler doesnt roll into the wide crack.
Its hard to find a bunk bed that is solid wood anymore. This made is made of solid wood ( not cheap pressboard) this bed was pretty simple to put together. I love how sturdy this bed is. The bed not only has the safety of solid wood construction but also has a metal rod and wood slates that you screw into the side of the bed. These extra safety features make me feel better about the little one sleeping on the bottom. It does have a smell of wood and paint. We have had the fans on all day with the door open and it has helped eliminate most of the odor after a week. Its a great quality bed at an affordable price. It definitely gives me a piece of mind that each bed holds up to 400lbs! I would highly recommend
The bunk bed is good, sturdy and easier for kids to get on to it. Using the bunk bed for my 9 year old daughter and a 4 year old! They are enjoying it.
We ordered these for the grandkids, aged 6 and 4, and were happy with the construction overall quality value for money. Top quality hardware, nicely finished wood, and very sturdy once assembled. It definitely needs 2 people to assemble, as there are a few sections where a third person would have come in handy, but DH and I managed it in a few hours. The instructions are rather sparse, but adequate, and the illustrations are good. We were a bit surprised at how low the bottom bunk sits, but its not a problem.
Took about 4hrs to assemble with a power drill. I put all the slats in the top bunk and none in bottom. Everything fit perfectly to the manual except the ladder asked for the longest self driving screw which intersected with another nearby, so had to use a smaller one. No big deal. Id prefer the slide have slats all the way under to be more durable. They did a small Dent walking up it first day. But its very minor.
