I weigh 250lbs roughly, (246lbs) and my husband weighs 165lbs. 415lbs total. Plus the occasional 50lbs x 2 for our older children and 30lbs for our soon to be 1 year old. So it holds the weight we provide for snuggle time. My husband said it was simple to assemble and worth the money. I love that I dont need a box spring and that there is a bunch of space underneath. As far as sturdiness... We put it to the test weekly with our activities and its still standing. Now, the four corners have the most structure and the base itself however the middle of the bars kn the head and footboard have a tendency to bow in and out and are not too sturdy if pushed or pulled on. When moving the bed its best to temove the mattress then move it.
For a growing famiky of five, with movie nights and weekend morning snuggles. It holds well.

Some parts came with out labels. So far seems to be sturdy and quiet.
