Everything went together great, until I got to the ends (grey). The holes didnt line up with the upper and lower pieces. I just marked where the holes should have been on the white boards and made them larger until it lined up. I did not contact the company about it because I was most of the way finished and I wasnt going to pack it up to return it or wait for new parts. With the right tools Im sure it would have only been a few minutes to fix, the Dremel took a while.
Otherwise all the other pieces were great and my 7 year old helped me put together the ladder and the slide. A few pieces were labeled and I loved the color coding on the legs. It was easy to tell everything apart though.
We decided to switch out the ladder slats for rock climbing holds I had on hand. As well as adding a batman decal. The chalk board also works. My son said it was worth 10 million stars.
It also matches his Ikea play kitchen, so that is a bonus as Id like everything to match when we are done redecorating.
I love the fact that I can climb up and read to my 3 year old grandson and feel very secure. Its extremely sturdy and very well built. It did take two of us to assemble but mainly because I needed to help hold the pieces as my son assembled it. We are all very pleased with this purchase / especially my grandson!
My daughter loves this setup we arranged for her! Delivery brought it right to our door and assembly took about 2.5 hours with a baby running in the background. This is very sturdy once assembled. What I dont like is how the support beams that running the width of the bed are separated. They could have been bridged together like a man/bridge then place holders for the outermost beams to be set in place. It was a lot of screwing so get a POWER SCREWDRIVER. Not a piece was missing or broken. They got it right on the first time. Only thing left is to get some curtains that fit to make her play castle something my daughter wont forget.
Added bed/risers to fit her dollhouse and it worked like a charm! No wobble!
My son got this bed for Christmas and when I say I cant get him out of his room now I mean it! The slide we bought from somewhere else and also the curtains. The sturdiness of this bed is aming as my 7 year old and both myself and my husband can all three easily lay on it and not feel like its shaky. We spend a lot of time underneath also in his fort I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone!
I bought this bed for my great grandson. I decided I would put it together myself. I had no trouble putting it together alone and only needed my husband to hold one end for 2 min. While I attached a side rail. Everything was marked and it only took about an hour and 1/2 to do the whole thing. Dont let negative reviews scare you. This is easy and turned out very sturdy. The ladder would have been better if it angled out a little but its not a deal breaker. Good bed at good price.
I feel like for the price, you get a lot compared to other options. This bed was pretty simple to assemble. The only issue we ran into was missing a couple dowels to put the bed together (was supposed to be 36 of them and there was 34/ we counted right out of the bag they were in) but we made it work. The bed seems sturdy and solid. Were happy with it.
Product is stirdy but few glitches during installation. Screws require Allen key to fix but it requires tremendous power to get the screw in and screw often deforms. It took me 4 hours to assemble just because screws requir Allen key and was very difficult. Overall product is a quality product if you manage to put it together.
It came damaged but needed a bed so glued it and screwed it to work. We were not taking it apart for the CO. to send use new parts, its like disassemble to put it all back together again. Paid full price for a damaged bed but they asked me to do too much in order to help me. Not worth my time
