When it arrived, it arrived in a heavy long box, I opened the box and took out individual pieces to make it easier to carry. All of the nuts, bolts and little tools were in a package that labeled what each item was. The instruction sheet was universal to understand, meaning there werent that many written directions but rather diagrams to show you what pieces went where. The assembly took an hour and a half, and I was able to slide my mattress right on the frame. I dont use a box spring with my mattress and I believe that you can use a box spring, however just my single 8 inch mattress came up to the footboard perfectly so I think its designed to be used without a box spring. Frame is very sturdy, well built, and simply designed. Great value for the low price!

Four out of five because the pieces were warped and there was one screw I couldnt even get it at the bottom base because of it, but it was so tight that i still felt like it was secure without it. Overall Im very pleased with it, its exactly what I wanted and was surprised at how much room there still was underneath it! It fit my room decor and vibe perfectly!
This is really pretty cheaply made. One of the bars on the foot board came bent. We dont think we can straighten it without breaking, so well live with it. The price was right for what we needed and the base seems sturdy enough, so it is okay.
I am so pleased with this bed, especially for the price! What a great way to ad some style to your bedroom, very sturdy and no squeaking while doing that sex thing. All parts for this bed are quality. Id buy this again if needed for another room.
Directions are a bit confusing! Was missing a bolt, but other than that its a nice sturdy, fashionable bed frame! Perfect height for a mattress without a box spring
