Purchased in gray, looks as pictured. Was the look that I was seeking.
No issues assembling the legs, and no visible issues with the frame as other reported.
Find the chair easy to sit in, not soft, but still has the space to lean back and relax in.
Great chair. i looked and looked for something and this was the winning look. The cushion is very firm, but most furniture of this design has a very firm seating. I added some throw pillows and it feels great. It is a large chair but i was getting rid of another club chair that that was about the same size so it works. The gray color does tend to have more blueish tones, so the color pictured is a little off. Not nearly as blackish gray as the closeup in picture. But not bad enough to return. I had no problems with the legs as others have stated. maybe they worked that flaw out. All in all a great chair. Now my sofa looks shabby next to it. Gonna have to get a new sofa now!
These are absolutely beautiful chairs!!!! They are a little stiff to start but after sitting in them they soften up. The back height is perfect as it comes up to my shoulders (I am 54) and my son and I can sit in one chair and read his books. If seating is tight (we had a New Years party) adults were even sitting 2 per chair. Color is very rich looking and assembly is a breeze. I get compliments on these chairs all the time. They are mod, but modern at the same time. Absolutely beautiful! Please dont mind the baseball in my photo below! It was long winter!
I bought two of these chairs. The material is far nicer than I expected and they are very comfortable with some small throw pillows. The only negative I can think of is that the legs require some tension spacers(included) to be assembled. The spacers can gap/out the junction between the frame and the legs. The legs spin/thread into place / Id rather that they were jointed/inset with a screw fastener.
Great style, well constructed. This chair was much wider than expected and I LOVE it. Some reviews complain that its not cushy. I agree, it IS firm but I love that. The best reading chair: room to curl up and wide enough to have a pile of books beside you.
Aming and big. You can fit 2 skinny people per chair. Larger scale than anticipated but I love them. Easy fast ship and assembly. Sturdy too! Nice color. Very modern Mad Men chic.
LOVE the design of this chair. Color is a little different than pictured. In the daytime in a lot of natural light, its a deep teal, not quite as light as in the photo. At night it looks much er, more like a marine color. As others have said, youre probably not going to want to spend a ton of time in this chair the seat cushion is quite firm, but not uncomfortable.
I purchased this from LexMod late on 7/3/14. My order was confirmed and shipped on 7/7 after the long weekend. Due to the bulk, I did not expect it show before about 10 days. Received a call on 7/10 to arrange delivery! It arrived in one large box within the agreed time window and in pristine condition. I should note here that there were no funny chemical smells. Just had to screw on the legs and relax!
Comfort/ This is firm seating. If squishy is your thing, keep looking.
Size/ I believe this would be better listed as a condo sofa. One person can lounge, two can sit with space and three if they like each other.
Construction/ Light in weight, but feels very solid. The under frame and legs are smooth and polished with a pleasing light cherry stain. Minimal padding on arms and back. is tight and attached well. The seat cushions are not reversible, but can be switched from side to side. Velcro tabs underneath keep them in place.
Color/ The photos shown are lit. Under strong light, the color is accurate. In my home it appears more of a medium sea blue. It is not teal, so it plays well with all blues and greens. The has a subtle texture to it that I would describe as a type of herringbone.
Seller/ I sent an email to LexMod expressing my pleasure and quickly received a reply thanking me for my patronage. I feel confident in doing business with them again!
