I am giving this bed two stars due to the fact that the boxes showed up missing one of the hardware packs. So while I was able to put the bed together, the parts for trundle are sitting underneath, waiting for the parts to arrive. Not a good experience so far.
Excellent bed for the price. Mattress is not included for either bed. The bottom bed is on wheels that can be pulled completely out from the top bed. Took around 2 hours to put together. Comes in 4 boxes. One suggestion is to put a track on the bottom bed so it cant come completely out of the top bed. For my husband who is 61 and 185 lbs, him rolling around will cause the bottom bed to roll with him.
People suggests using mattress that is less than 6 inches for the bottom bed which is what I bought but I still see plenty of room.after putting in the mattress.
The bed does have this smell to it the first week of assembly. Hopefully, it will air out.
This bed does not hold up very well with younger children. I bought mine for my, at the time 7 year old, son almost a year ago and it has fallen apart already. All the wooden slats to support the top bed have broken (two looked like they were already broken before assembling) so now I have to stack one mattress on top of the other and am unable to use the trundle, the screws have stripped out causing the whole bed to sway, and when I was able to use the trundle it was hard to roll out on carpet. I paid over $500 for this bed, I should have spent the extra money for a more durable bed.
Shipping was a complete nightmare. Packages were separated and delayed twice. 100%UPSs FAULT!! The bed was easy to put together and my daughter loves it. Good quality for the price!
Of very good quality and a great name to go with it!! You will not be disappointed with the quality of this product!! Looked at furniture row and everything that I liked was $800 plus, well worth the price!!
