The color was not a light gray. It was a pink dark gray. Not what I wanted in my room at all.

Hard to assemble. Made a breeze

    Well made, great instructions

Well designed product, and well though out directions. Especially helpful, actual size illustration of nuts and bolts at bottom of each page. I found it easier to assemble than furniture. SUGGESTIONS: Use a ratcheting allen wrench rather than included wrench (much faster and easier). Just be careful not to overtighten. Stop tightening when you see dimple start. I bought two mattresses prior to receiving bed. The trundle used a 6 memory foam mattress, as suggested. However, I purchased a 10 memory foam for main bed. I would try using the same 6 mattress for top, especially if you intend to utilize the bed as a couch. The 10 sits too high and 6 seems just as comfortable as the 10.

    Good value

Good value. Its solid wood - not a hardwood, but with decent cuts and finish. The hardware provided is sturdy enough, the screws are ferrous but the pins / brackets are not. The slats are secured with screws unlikeeee other beds that use flexible plastic pieces that tear if theyre removed. The instructions were simple to follow. The packaging placed the slats on the outside, thus properly cushioning the nicer parts from shipping box tears and bumps (I had one, no real damage). One negative - the pieces are labeled with convenience store style price labels, which are a nightmare to remove. I tried the edge of a credit card, with adhesive left behind. I tried a hairdryer (pictured) but even peeling with my fingernail compressed the wood a bit and the paper disintegrated. I tried using alcohol pads to wipe away the adhesive, but that started affecting the finish. Finally, I scraped off with a credit card and pecked at the adhesive with packing tape until it came off. Easily added 15 mins to the assembly, and I gave up on the labels that would be hidden by the mattress. Hope this gets back to the manufacturer - Id rather have no labels than these time suckers. All in all, Id recommend this for its primary purpose - a guest bed that needs to look decent but not be too expensive.

    Incorrect part

I loveeee the look of the bed however it came with an incorrect part so I am not able to assemble. I received three of the same legs vs. two and two so the slots dont match up to assemble. Would loveeee to get the contact info so I can reach out to the seller to get the right part. It is a Very beautiful bed!
