    Directions are terrible

The bed looks great after getting it assembled. The process of getting to that point is intense. The directions only show diagrams, and minimal at that. There are no written, step by step instructions. We also had to get a second bed delivered, as the first was open and missing hardware.

Sturdy but somewhat smelly bunk bed

We wanted a bunk bed for our daughters (5 and 8) and didnt want to pay 1000 from Pottery Barn, etc. This one went together fairly easy over an afternoon. You assemble each bed separately then put them together. Weve had it for 3 months and it has held up well. You can keep the beds separate, and you can choose which side to mount the ladder. The paint was well done (though smelly, see below). Box was marked Made in Vietnam. We used two inexpensive twin memory foam mattresses from (8 thick) and theyve been a great complement to this bed. Cons: 1. The paint smells really bad when you first open it and assemble it. We spent a couple of *weeks* with windows open and fan on to get rid of the smell. I wasnt thrilled about that for a kids product but it does eventually go away. Recommend airing for 3 weeks before using if possible. 2. There are no covers for the screw holes. Theyre just deep open holes. Looks kind of bad. Even stickers would have been nice.

Great bed but missing a piece

This is our kids first bunk bed and we all love it. Its sturdy, the perfect size, and the color is a great neutral. This would be a 5 star review had we not received this missing a pretty important piece.

    Came without the assembly instructions.

Came without the assembly instructions and the instructions posted on the manufacturers website are for if 90 percent of the bed was already pre/assembled! Also, the box it was shipped in was pretty beat up. Update: I upgraded the review from one star to 3 based on bunk bed construction. Once assembled it is a nice looking sturdy set. It is relatively easy to assemble. The packaging needs changing. The package I received was missing instructions and a lot of the hardware. The package was damaged enough that it may have opened during shipping and these items may have fallen out. A few or a handful of the boards were dented or scratched. This is a heavy box. It probably should be split into two to three boxes to reduce damage during shipping.

Sturdy bed for a great price.

My husband and I bought this for our daughter/granddaughter. Had it assembled in less than 2 hours including opening 2 new memory foam mattresses and placing on slats to await full decompression. Bought it for guest room and wanted the versatility and underbed storage that this bed provided. Only complaint it that the directions are a bit confusing with only pictures and no written instructions; however, this does not take away from the quality of the bed. Overall, glad we chose this one!

    Best value

Overall, we love this bunk bed. The ladder design is great, and there is ample clearance between the bunks for me to sit up on the bottom bunk with an 8 inch mattress (Though I am only 52.) I doubt it would support the 400lb per bed over time, as it claims, but it is still a very sturdy bed and can support 200lb + per bed. The quality of the wood is above average, though we did still get small cracks in a few boards when tightening screws. The finish is nice, but I dont love all of the holes that show where the screws are inserted. I found the stickers they provided to cover them really strange. I think a plastic plug of some kind or even wooden plugs would be much nicer. We just opted to leave the holes showing, and I barely notice them most of the time now. The clearance under the the bottom bunk is also great! We have room for the kids sleeping bags, off/season clothes, and a few other items that needed to be stored.

    Easy assembly and clear instructions

Easy assembly and clear instructions, would be 5 stars but product uses stickers to cover the assembly holes, plastic caps would be preferred.

    Great quality solid bed

Great quality solid bed. The only problem is steps are a bit far apart for a kid to climb up.

Nice bed especially for the price.

My teenage daughter wanted a new larger bed for her room. She picked this one out of a few others that I showed her that we could afford after selling her bunkbed. This bed is pretty nice for the price point. Its a simple misson style which we liked. It holds our daughters memory foam mattress perfectly, no box spring needed. The bed has a lot of support with the wood slats AND the metal bar. The bed was fairly easy to assemble with my hubbys help. I took off a stars for these reasons (none of which are HUGE issues): 1. It has little screw hole covers that are basically stickers, which we left off.they looked lame. 2. The wood finish or something smells quite strong for a long time. Its not a bad smell, kinda like a woodshop but it def. has a bit of a chemical odor that lingers long after putting the bed together and its been a couple months and I can still sorta smell it. 3. The white painted finish is not SUPER durable. So if you have a young kid that is hard on stuff, this may get scratched up a bit. Not a huge issue for my teenage daughter. If you need a bed for your teenager, or a guest room or even an adult bedroom, I would recommend this full size bed, for the price. You hardly can find such a decent bed for that price anywhere elseI looked!! I would def. re/purchase this again for her.
