My daughter was begging for a bunk bed. We thought the junior loft bed was a better option and ended buying 2, one for each kid. After assembling the bed we realized my son was a bit too young for such a bed so were storing it until hes old enough. My daughter loves her new bed and she has a lot more extra play space. We were able to fit an IKEA bookcase underneath. For small homes/rooms in which extra space is vital, this is a good purchase. It took us a few hours to put together but we are very satisfied with our purchase.
My husband got is assembled quickly and it seems really sturdy. There was 1 commenter on here that said the 2nd step is too close to the frame, that is 100 true. Our almost 2yr old has a hard time getting his footing on that step, were going to see if we can make that better ourselves. Our son has also been jumping on the bed, so far it has held up well. Ill definitely come back and update if something doesnt hold up on it.
I purchased the full size one for my soon to be 10yrs old son to give his room more space and he loves it. Its a good height and the storage below is perfect for his two small dresser chest, book shelf, study desk (slides in and out). I didnt want to get rid of his box spring because it is still new so the bed is higher than without of course but like I said he loves it. I did purchase guardrails just in case, but honestly he doesnt need it because hes not a wild sleeper.
Full size bed is perfect for my 4 year old son to roll around even when Im sleeping with him. Very sturdy. Be aware that the bottom part is just 3 feet off the ground. Love the white color. So far its been good after a month of usage .
I read all of the reviews and despite the few bad ones we took a chance. We are very pleased. The frame is sturdy, and our is slightly bigger than the suggested size. It fits perfectly.
Its Heavy! When it arrives. I liked that it is all real wood, not particle board. A couple of the pieces had a little splitting, like natural wood does. They didnt appear structural. I didnt like the crappy little hex bolts for almost everything. Power tools with torque settings have been around for a long time, wouldve been nice to use them, and saved a good bit of time. Have a helper for assembly, as that was pretty big. One point the directions had a layout issue, they showed one angled left and then the next step was angled right. It involved a little imagination. Seems sturdy though. I like that the lower part is almost on the ground, lower than even a toddler bed. Ball end hex keys helped speed the process.
I just finished putting this together and didnt have any issues. I wouldnt try to assemble alone, its much easier with two people. I didnt screw the slats in because I saw other reviews of it splitting. Instead I stapled a ribbon on the slats so they wouldnt slide out. They sell the same concept on , but this was easier. My daughter hasnt slept on or yet ( has to fully puff up) but shes super excited.
