My boys love their bed. Weve had it up in their room for a few months now (bought in May 20).
Pros:
/Sturdy. Ive 2 boys 8 10 years old who bounce and are rough on all their furniture. It has held up well structurally.
/Was easy to assemble with a second person(extremely helpful).
/It did come with missing parts, but the company sent me replacements without any issues(although it did take almost a month).
/ Delivered on quickly and on time.
Cons:
/The black paint started peeling and flaking immediately. I will be sanding down and repainting once the weather is more friendly to being outside.
/I did add extra slats as I did not feel that the included few were enough. If your kids dont go cry it may have been fine, but, well, boys need I say more lol
My Conclusion: For the low cost, this is an acceptable bed if you dont mind adding extra slats to the beds.
This bunk bed was extremely easy to put together easy to read instructions and the sturdiest bunk bed specially for the price I even tried my hardest to see if it would wobble and it doesnt I am extremely satisfied
My son is IN LOVE! It seems sturdy enough so far. It took My husband and I about an hour and a half to get it all together from unboxing to complete. There are a few knicks in the furniture but nothing worth returning over. I purchased the tent separately and it was definitely worth it. We have an 8 mattress both on the top and underneath. We plan on turning the bottom mattress sideways when anyone sleeps over but I wouldnt recommend someone actually sleeping under it out of fear of them hitting their head. Overall the bed seems good so far! I will certainly try to remember to update!
Overall, the bunkbed will work for us However, we will be purchasing stronger slats for the bed above. They flex a little too much and my son is only 4. Also, the side rails on the top are not very strong. Ill be finding stronger wood and painting it black to replace these eventually. I dont see them being a problem at the moment but as my son gets bigger they wont hold him in if he rolls into them.
Instructions pretty well/written. It does take time to assemble but thats to be expected. It was a warehouse deal and supposedly there was missing hardware but I had everything needed. Very well/made and attractive. Would buy again.
Assembly took quite a bit of time but fortunately I am handy so it was not too bad. You do have to pay very close attention to a couple of the steps otherwise you will end up on final steps and will have to reverse everything to make sure the ladder is lined up with the holes on the right rails.
I read a lot of the reviews before I purchased this and saw where many people advise that having extra slats under the mattress was better. I definitely agree with this and actually added two extra slats per bed giving each bed nine slats. Using just the seven slats that it comes with would be problematic and will not hold enough weight or your child may end up falling between them.
Once the bed is built it is extremely sturdy and looks really nice. I have them stacked and the bottom bunk is high enough that I have more than sufficient amount of room for storage underneath. I would definitely purchase this again.
