Got the full size for our second bedroom that also flexs as a workout room so we needed something that could be collapsed and stored. Its perfect for that. Got the suggested trifold mattress. My 63yr old mom slept in it for 5 days and said it was extremely comfortable and she got full nights of sleep every night! I count it a winner.
We were originally looking at the pullout Murphy beds. The ones that dont attach to the wall. This frame, including the mattress, was a much cheaper but very nice quality alternative.
This is a great option for a low cost bedframe. Better price than youll find at , and better quality. Im using it temporarily and will re-purpose it for a guest bed in the future.
It will look really good if stained. Otherwise, it looks like what it is - raw and unfinished. I had plans to finish mine, but decided it wasnt worth the time or energy since it will always be covered by a mattress anyway.
Thank you to the other reviewers that suggested countersinking the screws. I got a cheap bit to do that, so the screwheads wont catch on the bottom of my mattress. I feel like the maker should have done this, but not a big deal to do yourself if you have a drill and the proper bit. Still definitely recommend!
I was looking for a futon style bed for my mother when she visits but I didnt want a futon sofa type with those uncomfortable mattresses. I found this one and its awesome! Super easy to put together by myself. I did have to tap in with a hammer a few of the dowels as I could not push them in with my hand as the gentleman does in the video, but nonetheless, it was seconds of tapping and done. Really sturdy and its got these really great looking wood discolorations I wasnt expecting and actually pleased with. Im just going to by a mattress cover, zip it up and store the mattress in the garage, and fold the bed frame in half and store. Great quality for a superb price!
First off, the wood on this bed is hard poplar, not pine. Lovely to look at with a tight wood grain and no splitting.. Every hole was drilled properly and every screw fit perfectly. Slow down and pay close attention to the instructions... they are clear, but its easy to get ahead of yourself.
Lots of screws...use an electric driver and save your wrists. Heavy and solid. Folds up nicely and could fit under another bed if needed.
I dont mean to sound disrespectful to anyone whose first language is not English, but it certainly helps assembling something when the instructions are not a word puzzle.

This bed frame is pretty easy to assemble. Its very sturdy and very strong. I believe it is also a good value for your money. Made from rubber wood which is an extremely hard wood. So I wasnt worried that it was going to break down. I was so happy to get it. I had a regular box and then I had a memory foam mattress on top of the box. I was getting extremely hot at night so I thought that purchasing this bedframe and putting a mattress on top of it, that was not memory foam as the air can circulates it does keep the mattress much cooler also there is no foam memory foam of any kind in the mattress that I have. Mainly I was looking for a bedframe such as this for airflow as I get extremely hot. I made a good purchase. Its a great bedframe!
Easy to assemble, when you get the proper components.
The holes for the dowels that attach the slat decks to the bed rails are off by about 4 inches. There is no way to attach the two components. Im concerned I may have been sent the bed rails for a smaller bed, but other reviews have stated the measurements are off. I dont have a drill bit to make new dowel holes, which is what I will have to do, and Im not sure what that will do to the integrity of the bed. It would have taken me less than an hour to put it all together, but now I have to go to the hardware store.
On its own, the bed rails seem sturdy, but it does wobble a bit. I feel like it will wobble less when I can get it all together.

Pre-drilled holes on slat decks are wrong
