Update: 4/24/2020. The seller refunded the product in full and allowed us to keep it instead of shipping it back. We were able to resolve the defective piece and construct the frame. Several days into its use, it is working properly. Increased the rating to 3 stars due to resolution of the issue, though it was not an easy DIY solution.
Initial review: bought this because of the positive reviews referencing the quality of the product.
In fact, one of the support beams had holes drilled 1/4 inch off, which means nothing could be assembled properly.
The slats are also cheap plywood. They could have at least made them simple pine for sturdiness.
When trying to contact the seller they offered to send a new support beam in 30 days or give us a few dollars refund to drill our own holes. If we had wanted a DIY project we could have made one ourselves without bothering to buy a bed frame first.
When trying to return the item, the seller expects you to pay for postage. This is ridiculous since the item being defective is their fault, not ours.
I missed that it would come in parts and was amazed the ease of figuring out how to assemble it. Very relieved and have used it since November. Excellent product.

NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT! First of all let me say I purchased this wooden bed frame along with the 6 memory foam mattress for my guest and the mattress ended up being a fluke. It expanded unevenly and not all the way so If youre thinking of doing the same thing I did, do not waste your time.
Now the Wooden bed frame~ it was also poor constructed ! It isnt that hard to assemble, but the wood does feels cheap and youre going to have to take additional steps to make sure it assembles properly. The frame we got had misaligned holes on one end! We had to make our own holes and adjustments. The pegs that connect the bed easily came off so after reading some reviews we decided to use wood glue to secure it- boy was that a mistake because now we cannot dissemble it to return!!! So disappointing. If youre expecting this to last long, it wont. After assembling it, I tested the frame with one of the mattresses I ordered from . The bed would creek and wobble with every single move, it felt very wobbly and unsafe. Not to mention the bed was uncomfortable and poorly constructed, we had to make our own holes to have them align with parts of the bed. Horrible! I wouldnt dream of having my guest sleep on that! When we proceeded to fold it to hide away until after my guest left we could already see that it wasnt holding up and it loosening after every fold. Im not happy; waiting to see how and if if we can return it!! WOULDNT RECOMMEND !!
very sturdy -- pegs were a little difficult, which makes me confident it will be sturdy. screws for extra support. Im small lady with no upper arm strength and I put it together by myself with a small drill and a screwdriver. Took about 40 minutes.
We had it built for us as it arrived in very many parts for us to put together. Ive slept on it weeks in a row, plus my familys two dogs get on it as well. I dont mind opening it up and unzipping the mattress each visit. Hide it behind a three-part screen in the tv room, plus bedding. Its a bit cumbersome to store but nicer to sleep on than an air bed and less expensive and easier to move than a futon. Works very well for my familys needs, and so far mattress is quite comfortable, imagine I can spring for a mattress topper in a few years should it ever start to sag.
One of the pieces that was shipped to me was cracked. It didnt seem like it would prevent the bedframe from being put together so I didnt return it. Its holding up just fine. Was easy to put together. Its helpful to have a rubber mallet to knock the wood pegs in more.
Had it for about 6 months now and no complaints. First out of the package, I could tell right away it was quality wood. It smelled amazing. Fairly simply to assemble. I love the low profile design and foldability. Makes for easy storage
