This bed takes some time to piece together and at first the directions are like wut but then you get into the flow of it and realize it isnt that bad, but it is 99 of the screws go into place fine, but the window part didnt line up and I had to drill my own holes and leave put a acrew on each side with this little Alan wrench it came with and the screws. I left 2 on the button out no way I was doing 2 more it was still sturdy though. Some of the screws also feel like theyre in correctly, but some of them are so long and you have to painstakingly force your way to the end with your hands throbbing, as if you had to make manual holes. if you have tools, youre fine. I do not (or probably did but dunno where). After you start putting on the base boards youre probably going to look at the bottom bunk and say man its really low to the ground and the kid who gets top bunk is the lucky one, but once you put the mattress in it its fine. The kids dont care either. This is a great decor piece, meaning you can add stuff to it like lights and curtains for the bottom, which we plan doing. Make sure to buy 6 inch mattresses. Any bigger wont fit right. If you search on and see a pink memory foam mattress that also comes in color blue. They are GREAT! REALLY SOFT AND FIRM. Great deal. I thought I was taking a gamble for costs, but they really are aming mattresses for the price. Ill have a review for them also. They come with 2 memory foam pillows. They look like baby mattresses in the pic. But in person an adult can use them. they are that good. Anyways, hope this helps. Your kids will have a blast!
Its a tossup: the instructions suck, but your kid will be in heaven when its done.
It took well over 3 hours to put together, not including the drive time to Home Depot to pick up extra wood dowels that were not included in the set. Absolutely frustrating. We had to flip the bed around a few times and even unscrew pieces to put them on different sides. My advice: keep everything loose until its completely together, then tighten.
Aside from the chaos of putting it together, its beautiful, sturdy, and should last a long while.
Bought this bed in January and I was very pleased, however, the bed has become very unstable and wiggly. The support bar detached itself and Im not sure why as the bed is only used by my 2 year old and my 5 year old who are not heavy kids. Overall loved it until the issues starting occurring. Very disappointed that I now have to purchase another bed.
Great size bed for my boys. They LOVE it. Assembly was typical of any furniture purchased online. Instructions a little confusing, but as a man, we dont need them anyway.
Added 2x2s to support the upper slats. (5) 3 3/8 bolts and nuts/washers on each side. Added 5 1x6 slats and and 2 wood screws in each 6 slat on each side. The 1x1 support is a joke. I left it in place and went above for even more strength. Going to add more 2x2s vertically underneath the upper support later. Holding 260ish lbs solidly. Obviously not going to jump around on it.

Built tough!
Built very well! Directions are a little hard to follow. Just take your time and double check each piece!

Love it, but made it stronger.
