And as other poster have pointed out the frame is much larger than a twin mattress but you can kind of cover up with bedding and body pillow stuffed in the front.
Adorable big boy bed! Was a little tough to assemble- definitely need two people, but instructions were clear. Seems very sturdy! Slight odor but seems to be fading after a couple of days. Really perfect for the look I was going for. I wanted a Montessori style house bed but this one was cheaper and featured the headboard/footboard plus bookshelf. I think it will grow with my son longer than the typical house bed style. I also like that it sits off the ground. We purchased a 10 hybrid memory foam/coil mattress by Wayfair sleep with no box spring and its super comfortable. (On sale for $170 plus free shipping) Overally sooo happy with it!
Once we figured out the instruction labeling it was pretty easy to assemble. Assembly required 2 people so my 8 year old was great little helper and we were able to put it together in about an hour and a half. Definitely great product for the price!

Strong chemical smell
It has a very strong paint smell strong chemical smell. We put it together 2 nights ago and ventilated the room but still smells really strong.
